Can high T cause achilles issues and muscle pulls?

For the last six weeks I bumped my Test injections from .4 ml to .5 to help with a shoulder injury recovery. That would likely put my T around 1600 and Free t a little above range based on many years experience. Take no serms. Started to have issues with both achilles tendons feeling pulled for no good reason. Am due for next injection today but noticed they feel better today. Will wait a few more days for injection and go back to normal dose. The higher dosage would also take E above 30 and DHT above range Could high T have been causing These "pulls" along with a worse tennis elbow and another minor muscle pull?

There is an deleterious association bt AAS and tendon injuries in general.

However whether such injuries occur bc the degree of muscle hypertrophy exceeds the capacity of tendons to undergo similar hypertrophic changes, especially with the rapidity often reached thru the use of AAS, and bear the load without tearing, remains a matter of debate.

IME it's a combination of factors such as:
- unknown prior compartmental narrowing
- a history of chronic tendonitis
- patients age
- the MECHANICS of the lift, certain angles in particular are more apt to compress the involved tendon
- the acceleration rate during a lift, based on morphologic features of the tendon itself all the fibers can NOT be utilized when stretched acutely
- the patience required to enable tendon strength to accommodate the newly developed muscle hypertrophy

Dr. Jim, Thanks for the reply. The two Achilles and a muscle and a tendon pull all appeared pretty simultaneously. It was not due to further muscle strengthening or any particular stress either at or around time of injury. They just sort of happened. Have had prior Achilles pulls but these just started simultaneously in the same place in both Achilles seemingly without cause.
I am 60.
You mentioned compartmental narrowing. Not sure what that means except maybe if it relates to carpal tunnel syndrome which I don't have. Doc says my Achilles is surprisingly norrow relative to my very muscular calves and legs.

Intentionally bumping to continue this thread.

I'm not on any Accutane or other non-AAS compound. About 6 weeks into a test 250 and Tren 500 cycle where I've focused a good deal of effort on calves. Also used blood flow restriction bands during calf workouts for the past 2 months or so. This has added about 0.5 inches to my calves this year, largely in 2 months or so. They're at 16.5" now.

My calf workouts consist of standing raises 3x20 sets to failure, long and slow with squeeze on top, then seated 3x20 to failure same way with the last two turning into drop sets past the 10 rep mark, and finish with standing rapid short jumps, about 30-40, until failure or rather pain threshold kicks in. All of this 2-3 times per week.

So I've had good growth results, but in the last week or so my left Achilles tendon feels like it needs "unsticking" at the beginning of each workout. I have now had to do a pre-workout doing deep stretches to sort of "pull it out" for lack of a better description, to get it ready for the workout. No real pain, just this weird sensation that I'm stretching it out and unsticking or tearing off fibres that have gotten stuck together. As I'm writing this, lying on my back in bed, I'm doing the same thing just lifting my toes up as hard as I can and I can feel things unsticking.

Is this a passing thing or indication that I need to stop working my calves? Am I risking Achilles rupture? Or is this just a sign that I'm growing stronger?

I don't use heavy weights, for example the standing raises are usually in the 155-215lb range.
