Dr Jim. Where I agree with on the fact that I am not a doctor and my bold claim of "I can help fix you " may be over the top I read this thread and relate to the last few years of my life. When you have used AAS and you are having right flank pain any research you do says if you have right flank pain do not ignore it. I drove myself crazy thinking I had chirosis and then kidney disease Sometimes doing nothing and living with the pain can drive a man crazy in his mind. Does this make sense? Please don't take my post as argumentative here as you certainly are the expert. But I can say from experience that with this type of pain get a cmp/Cbc coming back normal may not help you sleep at night.
