carbs,, how many before workout?

What is a good number of carbs to eat before a workout to give you enough energy to get everything in,,, i like to eat oatmeal 2hrs before working out.. something like 2 cups enough

Bro you need more than two cups of oatmeal to get through a good workout. I try to get anywhere between 125 to 150 grams before I work out. Also drink lots of water before you work out and during you workout, it will help you last longer in the gym. Trust me,it works!

Instead of loading on carbs an hour or two before the gym, just have a sensible meal. Then during the working you can sip on a carb drink, like diluted Gatorade to solve your in-workout energy problems.

It's pretty cool then that 2 cups of oatmeal has 140 grams, eh? Damn convenient, that there.

1 cup oats usually is cool for me, but im always tired anyway, when i start training, im not as tired though. never tried more than like 70g before training.
 
I prefer a much higher protein concentration pre-workout than carbs. Usually I'm only getting between 75 - 100 grams of carbs about 45 minutes before hitting the gym.

I seriously doubt you're eating two cups of oatmeal .. you'd be blowing some mind numbing methan gases in about 2 hours... plus that's alot of food to chew. Then again, how big are you? What are your stats? What time of the day are you training and what have you eaten before your pre-training meal?
