I usually buy bitcoin st btc ATMs but the fees are insane. I set up a cash app account, linked my debit card and bank account. Tried to buy bitcoin and it says transaction failed. But no other explanation. Tried multiple amounts from 50-400$ declined every time

Any idea how I can more easily buy bitcoin without the insane fees of ATMs?

Never had any problem buying it with cash app. It was very simple. I wonder if it’s something to do with you just setting up the account? Did you go through the verification stuff for buying btc?

Read that Paypal allows both buying and transferring btc. They're pretty the same as Cash App, a tool to acquire and send. I don't have pp setup to do that, but I'd imagine they require verification like cash app.

I’ve heard that PayPal won’t let you transfer bitcoin out for something like a week or 10 days after purchase. Idk for sure since I’ve never used it but it would be worth checking into before using that method.

Yup. Sent a pic of my license and myself and all that fun stuff.

Is coin base worth it to buy btc? I know I have to send it to an alternative wallet or tumble it

Alright so I turned off my VPN and I got a $100 transaction to go through. Tried to buy another $300 in btc and declined. Tried $100, also declined.

Is there some sort of daily limit or something? And yes I have plenty of money in my checking account, that’s not it.

Thanks bros

I use a coinbase wallet but I’ve never actually bought any through coinbase. I always buy it though cashapp then send it to a wallet through coinbase.

That’s weird. Idk of any daily limit unless cashapp has a limit like one transaction per day or something but I wouldn’t think so.

I just bought a small amount of bitcoin on CashApp yesterday and it went smoothly, but I’ll be doing a considerably larger amount in the coming weeks. Following closely to see if you get this ironed out or if something new is developing with CashApp.

Yeah dont use a vpn while verifying / buying / selling / withdrawl. try to restart the app, or do it from mobile or desktop? make sure whoever you are sending it to is making a new tx address as it could be the nigerian prince (sus address)? You are definitely below the buying limit which is 1.5k i believe (Cashapp). maybe wait a couple hours, log back in your account with your actual geo-ip and repeat the buying process.

coinbase is worth it, instant buy and withdrawl. if you havent set up a coinbase acc, its worth it. same rules apply as they do check for sus activity etcetc

Just wanted to update everyone. I used a different Wi-Fi with VPN off and now all my transactions are going through. I could not get them to go through using mobile data with or without VPN

Cashapp has around 1K daily limit for transferring cash from debit card to the USD Wallet once verified, but you can purchase as much coin that's in your Cashapp USD wallet. I find I have more success transferring cash from linked debit card to the USD wallet first then buying BTC and the coin usually appears in the Cashapp BTC wallet in minutes after purchase (if you already had gone thru verification). To pay a source for AAS purchases I send the exact purchase amount plus a little more to cover fees to my external wallet THEN from there to the source's wallet and so far had no problem.

As for Coinbase I avoid it as too many hassles and account closures reported.

There's no point in using a VPN when cashapp requires a pic of your ID and face.
My VPN use is not something I actively think about. I didn’t purchase a VPN subscription to use on cashapp, It’s on running in the background on my phone and PC all the time. But thank you for pointing out the obvious.

Cashapp (and some apps) can detect if using a VPN and might not act properly using one.

Do you use the same wallet or get a new one each time? I’ve seen some say to change wallets for every transaction but I’m not sure why that would be necessary?

I use a different wallet addy for that external wallet (blockchain.com) and use their app to generate a wallet addy alias for it for each new transaction. Not really necessary but for a bit of a peace of mind.
