Chest pain

I had a really nice chest workout yesterday, super intense, really pushed myself. Today I noticed my left pec was much more sore, hurt when flexed. There is a small knot, bigger than a pea, only thing I can think of is raisin size, yet longer, not round. Hurts like a bitch, the slightest touch is painful. It is located outer upper pec, near armpit. Maybe it's not related to workout, but I can't,imagine what else would cause it. Wtf is it, blood vessel?

I second what ER said about it possibly being a partial pec year. On either side of the knot is their a hole/gap? Did you have any bruising around the area or just below?

Vessel ruptiure is the best case... slight muscle tear os the most likely.

Be very very very very careful with this as small pec tears turn into full tears in catastrophic fashion.

You do NOT want a full pec tear.

No bruising, when I flex you can not feel the knot but it still hurts when I touch the area. I'm going to take it easy in it and see if it goes away.

When it happened to me, I felt a pinch. No bruising but enough to get my attention and to notice I need to take a week off. Turns out, 1 week wasn’t enough. I called myself taking it light after taking time off and only bench 225lbs for reps. That’s when I got my partial tear, heard a sound of a towel tearing then came the pain and later bruising.

My advice, take it easy on chest for a while. Do a lot of stretching and dumbbells. Listen to your body and learn the difference between discomfort and pain. You can work thru a little discomfort to aid in healing, stop at the sign of pain.

All of that.. a few weeks now for full recovery, or months and months later to get nowhere close to where you were ever really (most cases there is actual tissue death).

Today I stretched my pec in the mirror, arms up and out, looks to be a vein. I can see there is a vein that runs thru the spot that knotted up, the swollen part runs with the vein, same direction. The knot actually is blue, so I'm thinking a vein problem. Still painful, I don't mess with it, but it it gets bumped and rubbed in non avoidable ways.

What exercises you did that day? Weight and reps? Did you noticed discomfort during or after a specific set?

Could be a relatively simple thrombosis (pec hemorroids!) but still something to be careful with.

What did your platelet count come out as during your last set of bloodwork?

Mainly heavy decline, incline, and a lot of cable flys that day. But I was moving weight 12 reps I normally only do 6 to 8. No discomfort at all during workout. I'd have to look for that blood work. Its been a bit, but everything was in range, only thing I recall out of range was the blood clotting test, forgot the name. Like how fast blood dries, it was longer than usual. Went for blood work 3 weeks ago, the damn doctor forgot to check off the tests I needed ran.

You sure it was showing a decrease? Most AAS cause an increase in clotting factors, which leads to thrombosis.

Definitely should find that test.

Something to think about for all muscle groups. Blow outs suck.
