Chills and no libido

Are you taking any other new supplements? I remember taking Spike (Bio-test) a few months ago and getting the chills big time. So, perhaps it is something else?

I am 46 YO and have been on 130 mg test/week (sust). I am taking the T as HRT and have been on about 2 months. i take 1 DIM every evening and 400 HCG every 3-4 days. Sometimes I forget to take the HCG.

When I started I felt great, later I felt good, now I am not feeling good (about 2 weeks).

w/o T I am about 194 with little fat. The 1st month on T I went up to 198. For the past 2 weeks my weight has been dropping and is now 188. When I wake up I am cold (I have the chills). When I take a leak I get the "piss shivers". (Never happened before). My libido has suddenly gone fouth as well.

What do you think is off?? I am thinking something specific but I want to hold off on stating it until you guys respond.

earthdog

The Dbol has a 4 hr half life so I should be fine for monday becuase I am not taking any more.

I got some blood in my stool so it could be an infection - I got roids - hemmroids.

Caos--LOL.

The body produces most of its estrogen at night. For this reason, I am moving toward 24 hour urines for hormonal assessment.

If a doctor who is his own doctor has a fool for a patient, what does that make a patient who has himself for a doctor? Let's don't find out. See a doctor.
Ordinarily, I would agree with this sentiment. However, TRT is the exception to the rule.

If you are unwilling or unable to participate in the management of your own protocol, then TRT is not for you. If you are unwilling or unable to recognize the messages your body sends you in response to various alterations in your treatment, and to formulate and implement the necessary changes, then it's unlikely you'll be a happy camper on TRT.

Perhaps the only exception to the above is if you have a great doctor like Swale, who's a pioneer in this nascent field. Otherwise, you'll just be a beginner's guinea pig, which I would find totally unacceptable.

Stopped DIM

I stopped DIM about 3 days ago and I am feeling alot better. I went too low. I am little amazed at how well DIM works. Arimidex works real good too, it is easy to get too low on E with that drug too. Clomid and nolvedex don't seem to be as potent in terms of knocking down E levels.

So I stopped the DIM and I was taking off my socks and I noticed a big dent in my legs - water from not taking the DIM. So I took 1/2 a DIM.

Gee, you shouldn't be playing doctor on yourself like that.

SWALE - Any Comments

Lots of controversy going on about the effectiveness - scientific effectiveness - of DIM as a reducer of E2... and also specifically that IndolPlex is the ONLY brand carrying the patented "bioavailable" DIM as patented by Dr. Zeligs.

I believe that at one point - very early on - BioResponse was marketing only through IndolPlex brand name but that they now market the same identical "bioavailable" DIM through numerous other brand names (like Nature Way's "DIM-Plus" as one example).

Your input would be greatly appreciated.

One sees periodic stories of these apparent "miracle cures" by DIM (and usually the story is that it has to be strictly the IndolPlex DIM version).

What's the deal?

DavidZ--That is an excellent point you make. I demand my patients be responsible for their care, and vigilant of both their response to my therapies and their scheduling of labs, etc. This strategy brings much better results over time.

Some hqave found this to be troubling, because of the notifications they receive from other health care providers. They also are sometimes a bit uncomfortable while sitting in my office, as they keep looking at their watch, expecting me to get up and run out of the room, as with other doctors. LOL.

Blood Test Results

I have cut back to 1/2 DIM and here I my blood results:

Estadiol 20

Progesterone 0.6

PSA 0.5

Prolactin 3.8

Cortisol (AM) 18.4

Test 1081

SHBG 25

What do you think - all in range except T is a little high

Clomid an Noolvadex do not lower estrogen levels. They merely block estrogen from binding to the estrogen receptors. As they do this, they prevent estrogen from acting in some, but act as estrogen in others.

Swale, I think you put this response in the wrong thread. I don't see anything in this thread that this response applies to.

Figures look very good.

Are you taking any other supplements (besides DIM) with this regimen? Are you still taking the Source Naturals brand of DIM?

I take it that the problems with chills and no libido went away?

I did not type that, my imaginary friend did.

Seriously, specster:

"Clomid and nolvedex don't seem to be as potent in terms of knocking down E levels."

But thank you for keeping an eye out for me anyway.
