Choosing the Right Filter

I am about to place my order for all the needed supplies to brew a decant amount of gear for personal use but am confused between all the different types of filters from all the mm's and um's. What do the mm's and um's mean? Would a Whatman GD/X Filter 25mm, .2 be the one to get or .45?

Mm is the diameter of the filter. um is the pore size of the filter. You'll likely want .2 um, 25mm syringe filter. I would recommend whatman gd/x. Make sure you order sterile.

That one is OK
make sure it's 0.2/0.22 um (MICROmeter) pore size and STERILE

Discard every syringe filter after 100 ml or 10 vials, for safety.

You can often bring the large syringe to Home Depot / Lowe's to make sure if fits the caulk gun.
Large syringes don't draw much attention as small ones do.
If asked, say it's for preventing/killing drywood termites.

You can even leave the needle home and only bring the syringe with you, too feel safe.

Ordering my supllies to home brew. Question about the 60ml syringe. I’ve seen some that say Toomey tip and some that say flush syringe. What does the Whatman syringe filter for on? Will this work? Well, tried to upload screenshot of a flush syringe from Med Lab Supply but says file too large....

I think it has to be "lock" not "flush".

Get a heavy duty one cause mine got fucked up and the metal bent a little from the pressure.

I think they are the same thing bro.
The flushes we used when I worked in the medical field had the same tips as the luer locks.

The toomey tips are different I think?

The side with the writing on it fits the luer lock syringes.

The other part fits your needles as a male end.
