been watching this thread for a long time, since before even joining the forum. i appreciate all the info here. glad to see you're on the way back up.
my ferritin has been below 30 since starting trt. im afraid of that piggy iron yall spoke of, if photon was saying how painful it was, i dont think i could handle it.
proferrin clear is what ill be trying. if its okay, ill post up my results in 4-6 weeks when i get it checked again

I haven’t changed anything at all but lowered my Test dose. Since all my issues and those ferritin labs of 10-13 I posted.
So my issue definitely was too much iron demand when my body was creating RBC on high dose TRT/cycles for prolonged amount of time. Pulling from my ferritin.
But that was also while trying to take iron supplement. In hopes of fixing it.
Whether my body absorbed it idk. But with High TRT and iron. Ferritin didn’t budge
No improvement.
Fast forward to new thinking and possible issues
I went NO iron supplement for weeks with Low dose TRT (600-700ng/dl peak)
Pulled a 58 ferritin last labs
Normal diet. Red meat here and there
Double checked my CRP for a possible false ferritin read.
Nope. All good.
64 ferritin as of yesterday.
Only basic supplements and low TRT dose
Focus on gut health as well.

So now
I’m going to add iron every other day with vitamin C
Try n bump it up meanwhile daily trt 10mg.
Pull labs again in a few weeks. See where I’m sitting. Probably won’t see a wild ferritin increase since that takes awhile, but should still rise a tad. I’d think.
Solid little personal experiment.

iron supps really mess me up stomach-wise, im hoping this proferrin is different somehow. i like to think im tough but stomach pain and major pip are like the bane of my existence.

Sometimes it’s trial and error of different types. I tried heme and it moved my numbers significantly, but I couldn’t poop. Feosol complete was better, but I’ve done the best on reg ferrous sulfate and it’s one most people complain about.
Have heard good things about the Proferrin, hope it works for you.
