The Denver Broncos running back Clinton Potis has been traded to the Washington Redsinks for corner back Champ Bailey. WoW

I think Denver thinks its O line is so good they can put anyone back there and have a good run game. They needed D real bad........11

Portis was signed to a 8 year 50.5 mil contract.

Good god

Skins are going to go sign kearse too and they will still finsih 6-10 if they are luckey! If they were going to give a RB all that money it should have atleast been a good one.

yeah dont think so there Joe BBGUNZ, i will bet you any amount of money that the redskins will NOT finish 6-10. take me up on that!

HAIL TO THE REDSKINS!

i'm a denver fan ... and better yet shannahan fan ... denver needed a secondary cause their pass defense is what sux the most ... good pick up for denver and a second rd pick.

redskins offense needs a power runner ... portis is one of the best in the league, he can easily get 2k yards in one season so gunz, how can you even say he isn't good!

even as a denver fan i believe the redskins will have a winning record this year.

Bling-bling? Fitty million? See ya Portis.
Given the Bronco's record at picking superstar backs, you think they'll have any problems with the running game? 'Nuff said.

Okay, now with Eddie Mac retiring and Sharpe and Rod Smith aging...they might need to focus some attention out to the receivers.

Go Donkeys!

true but with shannahan i think the offense will for the most part be well taken care of ... like you said, they won't have any problems with running backs ... still have griiffin & anderson at full. plus i believe they still have a rookie waiting to do his thing. portis must be happy going from 380,000.00 to 6.3 mil.

denvers d is slowly getting whattheyneed, you probably are right the next void to fill will be the receivers.

But you can't blame Ed for retiring. Aside from the concussions...he's got a few things under his belt - probowl, 3 superbowls, over a decade of great years, one of the top rec'rs Denver has ever had.

And have you seen his wife?! There's a reason why he has four kids...bet a fifth will be on the way shortly.

there goes Portis's career! I liked the guy too..the skins will ruin anyone

I hate the skins. This was a great move for Denver. O line is more important than the damn running back and the washington faggots dont have that. They wont make the playoffs. go cowboys

Portis is a great player, so is Champ. I still think Washington got the best of this. Clinton does not look to be injury prone and has gained a ton of yards over a two year period. His first two years, mind you. I figured that Bailey would have a tough time getting re-signed because of money. All the pole smokers on Bolex think that Denver can use any back and gain a bunch of yards. Maybe so, but will they win with regularity? Portis is a stud, if he does not get severely injured, he will go down as a legend. Hell, he is probably almost as fast as Bailey.

any rb behind denvers line can run .... they have had terell davis, portis, orlandis gary, mike anderson and griffin who all run well behind their ol ... denver needs a passing d, the will make any rb a star, especially with shannahan at the healm.

This is the argument I was talking about. It's pointless, C.P. is legit. Davis was VERY legit until he got injured. The other guys didn't gain much more than the leading rushers from other teams. Make no mistake, Portis will be a gamer on any team.

I agree portis is very good and having brunell as a passing threat will help but I dont think wash. has the line. They are probably headed for some major cap HA's also

I suprised that the Cowgirls didnt try and pick him up or Burnell.

Well, the cowBoys could've gotten "Burnell" last year but were not interested. He got shopped around pretty hard. They would've won it all if they had gotten him. Carter is a team wrecking machine
