This is the argument I was talking about. It's pointless, C.P. is legit. Davis was VERY legit until he got injured. The other guys didn't gain much more than the leading rushers from other teams. Make no mistake, Portis will be a gamer on any team.

let me clarify my point, i agree with you, portis is an awesome back, an di was originally like wtf, to hear my team denver were givin him up ... but denver doesnt need him as much as they need d backs. but portis, hell yah! he stays healthy he is good to go and i also agree on that washington needs to work on their ol.

To make a long story short..I went to bucks falcons game, tampa's bowl year. I have alot of friends that played in the league so I had sidline tickets for that game. I went with a couple of fellas that I played college ball with and had a blast. Anyway..the whole day I felt like I was suiting up to play..chills and all..it was great..I was talkin to some of the guys that were out for special teams and u know just shootin the shit..gettin amped up....so right before the kickoff I set up shop at the tunnel where the bucs come out right....So here comes SAPP!! He was hoppin up and down screeemin here we go!! I loved it..so I screamed back at him "THIS IS THE GAME OF YOUR LIFE BOY!" Right away he turns and stops and stares dead at me...Im talkin like he wanted to kill me so I took off my sunglasses and stared back and repeated "THIS IS THE GAME OF YOUR LIFE!" so he starts back pedaling twords the field and shaking his head up and down saying "yeah yeah!" I was so pumped up! ok here comes the funny part..THe bucs end up winning the game bla bla..great stadium by the way..So my friend comes up to me and says "U know we are goin in the locker room right?" I surprisingly said " NO WAY" I was so hammered.. so we go in and what do u know the first person I run into??? SAPP..so I said "great game dude"..and put my hand out to give him a pound right...he looked at me and turned and walked away and said to one of his boys "this guy called me BOY and now he wants to give me a pound!" My friend looks at me and says "lets get out of here" I agreed...do u believe that ego maniac took me saying "THIS IS THE GAME OF YOUR LIFE BOY" like I was callin him BOY...what a fuckin douche!

true....I was so hammered that if I stuck around any longer I def would have gotten into it with him...I didnt realize that is the reason he was staring me down on the field either. I just thought I was getting him pumped...lol guess not...Me and my boys always talk about it....The funny thing about it is that he still remembers...I saw him not too long ago again at a function and he knew it was me/.//./. too funny..

FIrst off I am a huge Broncos fan and I like Portis but I think Denver got the better deal...A second round pick in the NFL Draft is huge, they can get a reall big playmaker in the 2nd round...Look at all the quality receivers this year, hell there is probably 6-7 wideouts that could go first round...SO they get the 2nd best corner in Football(Ty Law #1) and a big time playmake to boot...Nuff said...IRON Jay

forget griffin. are we forgetting how good mike anderson is when he's #1 back?? he's only 3 years removed for a 1,500 yard season, always keeps in shape, has speed, size, and he's one tough bastard. if he gets 250 touches in Denver this season, he might be able to match what Portis did last year, he's certainly got similar talent. Absolutely Denver got the better deal - most great RB's are not 1st rounders, and NFL scouts know that many excellent backs come out of middle rounds. the key in Denver is the O line, there are 10-15 rb's in the league who coud run for 1,000 - 1,200 yards behind them sumz bitches. now the problem in denver is an aging te/wr core... Portis' career just took a dive.
