Clomid & Visual Distruptions?

Only recently came accross this, i've read that a possible SE of Clomid can be blindness/ visual bluryness.

Is this true, anybody experienced it?

I believe it can...but I've never experienced it myself. I keep any Clomid use pretty low though.

It i a wise idea to read the package insert before doing any drug. Visual Symptoms include blurred vision, lights, floaters, waves, unspecified visual complaints, photophobia, diplopia, scotomata, and phosphenes. I have had a number of patients with visual side effects. In each case, decreasing the dose resolved the problem.

Visual Symptoms: Advise that blurring or other visual symptoms occasionally may occur during or shortly after Clomiphene citrate therapy. It should be made clear that, in some instances, visual disturbances may be prolonged and, possibly, irreversible. Warn that visual symptoms may render such activities as driving a car or operating machinery more hazardous than usual, particularly under conditions of variable lighting (see WARNINGS).

The patient should be instructed to inform the physician whenever any unusual visual symptoms occur. If the patient has any visual symptoms, treatment should be discontinued and complete ophthalmologic evaluation performed.

I've taken up to 100mg with no noticable effects on my vision, but it is a listed side-effect of the medication and is temporary. Oddly, I have noticed a change in my vision within 15 minutes of taking Viagra. Everything seems to have a blue tinge like someone used a "cooling" filter on a camera. It also goes away.

i experience some fuzzy vision... for example fine blurry waves out of the corner of my eye sometimes not all the time. this occurs for me as low as 50mg dose per day. on the flipside i have friends who go up to 150mg per day with no ill effects whatsoever. when i stop the medication the fuzzieness stops

I had them and had to stop. Fuzzy more than anything. It lasted for about 2 weeks after I stopped the Clomid.

I have the fuzzy vision as well. It went away after going off of the clomid in my pct. I have fuzzy vision now but I think it's due to me needing some reading glasses as I am entering 40s. Yeah! :-? I'm not sure if I'll use Clmoid any more for PCT.

Making me think twice about using a high Clomid dosage Lol.

Might do a lower Clomid dosage and then up the Nolva for PCT.

My first cycle's PCT was poor, as i only did 25mg clomid for like 5 weeks. Didn't have any problems then. but this time around i was going to up it quite drastically!

I usually front load Clomid...day one and two 150 mg, then I take 50mg/e.d. for about 4 weeks.

Nolvadex I run 5 weeks @ 40, 20, 20, 20, 10(unless recovery is slow then stick with 20).

Yea thanks bigrob, thats sorta the same line i was thinking of running.

Do you run the Nolva longer than the Clomid? I thought Clomid was the last thing you are supposed to finish PCT with?
