Comeback for people quoting BuildMuscle with Only Testosterone study

We've all seen it: you're scouring social media cuz you're bored out of your mind and you come across the weirdos they quote the study regarding 600 mg of testosterone and no exercise building more muscle compared to those who are training without testosterone. Even though that's not what happened they misquote it that way. They merely gained more than the group with no exercise and Placebo, correct?

The simple answer is that just taking testosterone, even high dosages, it's not going to get you jacked. I mean there are even guys that are taking High dosages of everything and working out and still aren't jacked because they thought it was magic, but they're consistency and diet sucks.

They are typically commenting that "anyone can look like that if they were on steroids". Yet if they simply look at the "jacked" person and their lifestyle and they will see that they're in the gym very often and pretty much their whole life is surrounded by Gym life.
The fact they even quote the study and say these things is the first indication that they've never actually done gear.

If you feel like being a social justice Warrior today and fighting against those who want to Discount hard work because you're bored on the toilet taking a poop... what is your typical comeback and how do you defeat all of the issues with the study?

Full study text: https://www.nejm.org/doi/10.1056/NEJM199607043350101?url_ver=Z39.88-2003&rfr_id=ori:rid:crossref.org&rfr_dat=cr_pub 0www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov

To make matters worse they sometimes paste this graphic which they obviously didn't read the study or understand what the graphic is displaying. They merely see the training lower than Testosterone and rest.... and it gets misconstrued.

It all comes from the same old idea that steroids are "cheating," as if they're comparable to a cheat code in a video game or taking a bus during the boston marathon instead of running.
People have it in their heads that steroids are the only thing separating them from greatness. Let them believe what they want. It's the mindset that makes them who they are and it looks good on them.

Yea idk looking good at 160lbs is just not my thing lol

I’m the same way. But Jeff is only 5’5 so he can make 160lbs look way different than average height folks. A lot of that is his angles and lighting. You don’t realize he’s a little guy when he’s the only one in the video.

Here is Jeff standing next to other people. I’m definitely not hating on his physique but he is the definition of a manlet. Looks like a beast in workout clothes but you’d think it was a child if he threw on some sweatpants and a hoodie.

I always felt short at 5’9ish but then you see guys like John Meadows being 5’6.
Floyd Mayweather is only 5’8
McGregor is 5’9.
Tren Twins are 5’6ish

Makes me respect the hell out of all the taller guys who still manage to get jacked.

Holy shit he’s literally a midget. I like the guy, I think his content is great especially for natural lifters. But god damn he’s a literal midget. Idk why in my head I always thought maybe like 5’8-5’10 lol

I'm willing to bet he's only 5'5" with his shoes on and including his hair.

Yeah I’d rather have a mid physique at 5’9 than be jacked at 5’5. It’s funny how he talks about how easy it is to get buff on steroids but hasn’t addressed how easy it is to get buff when you have the wingspan of a toddler. I like his content too, but like everyone else said, it drives me crazy when natty lifters act like steroids are “cheating” when most of us aren’t even competing in a sport.

Society puts more value on the height and size of men than they want to admit. I call 5’8 - 5’10 the shit zone. We’re too tall to be pitbull manlets, but we’re too short to ever have professional sport aspirations and win girls over just for being 6ft.

Yeah fair enough. I'm 6'4" and sometimes I wonder if I ever would have gotten laid if I wasn't. My height did a LOT of the heavy lifting for my personality back in the day and probably closed more deals for me than I'd like to know. Just as long as I wore pants so they couldn't see my calves, of course.

Being confident and having a sense of humor helps. I had a chick like maybe 5'-11" talk about how if I were 6ft we'd be set, I said "Honey, we're the same height when in missionary!".

Dated for a few years, fun time that was..

That is a very solid line. You’re right about the funny thing for sure. I was in college right when the dating apps started blowing up. The best strategy for me was to just be chill and don’t even ask for sex. We both know why she’s coming over at 11pm. No need to be pushy lmao. just imagine there’s 500 guys asking her to hook up. All you have to do is be the one guy who isn’t begging for it.
Tinder and the “sexual positivity” movement made it so damn easy to get laid.

I'm 6'7" and my weight fluctuates between 230 and 265 between masses and cuts. I'm amazed when I read that Lou Ferrigno (who is close to my height) was 300 lbs lean and show ready - I can't see myself ever getting there and I'm okay with it. I'll admit height didn't help much with my sexual attraction until I had the physique to go with it. Or maybe testosterone pheromones or age (I'm 49) had something to do with it as well?

I totally agree with the original thread topic - I have a friend who is taller than me (6'9") and is taking the same levels as testosterone as I am and not working out consistently or dieting. He looks the same before and after taking test.
