Computer problem??

I have a new Dell that is not even 6 months old...Heres my problem..The thing locks up, has tons of pop-ups, and I can't even use the Cd-rom anymore...I scanned it and it said I have a form of the Trojan Virus, I don't know a whole lot about computers but obviously this isn't good...How do I clean it up? Help me out bro's..I haven't been able to burn a new lifting CD for over a month!!!!!!!!!

google toolbar is free and blocks popups. That will help with that. I thought dell has customer support to help with this on new ones. there was a post on here in the last 2 weeks about getting rid of this virus

I installed the google pop-up, helps a little...Dell support, haa...I call them and they put me on hold for 1/2 hour, then I get a non-english speaking fucker that I can't even understand..What do I do??

Download Norton 2004 anti-virus. You get 30 days or so of trial usage. That will cure your problem. Buy it for $30 if you like it.

also might want to download Adware www.lavasoft.de you can find a free version in the downloads section. Adaware will remove spyware which is similar to viruses and trojans, and is most likely causing your pop up problems.

I had the same problem Ironjay and ignored it and my shit crashed and I lost everything about a week ago...fucked up. Had to started completely over .
