Condensation

Hey people. So I did my first home brew today. I think everything went well. The only thing I'm a little concerned about was when I was dissolving the bb,ba and powder together. I was doing it in a glass beaker on top of a ring on my cooker. I left it to dissolve and when I came back I realised the ring was hotter than I thought it was. It was very hot to pick up the beaker and there was what looked like condensation above the solution on the inside of the beaker. Is this a problem? Worried that I have fucked the hormone by heating it up too much. Oh it's test e btw. Thanks all.

Only one way to find out lol

I've done it once or twice myself, not sure exactly how hot yours got but it'll probably be just fine. If you're that scared, shoot 1/10th of a cc to make sure you don't get a bad reaction then if you're G then jump on cycle and you tell me if the potency if good or not and learn from it next time. And buy a thermometer too.

When I brew I cover my beaker with foil because the temp I work at causes everything to sort of boil off, so I wonder if maybe your solution got hot enough to vaporize a little and that's where the condensation came in.

Did anything burn in the bottom of the beaker? AAS generally can withstand a lot of heat before degradation begins, like over 400 degrees usually. Did you filter yet? If you can upload a pic it might be helpful.

Nothing was burnt to the bottom, it didn't get that hot, it was just not only warm like I was intending it to be. Yeah it's all filtered now and all in one 50 ml vial

Looks like it's ok, is there any separation that looks like oil and water? I think your good. When I make bases the temp gets up to 350ish and they're all still awesome.

I have looked really closely at it and I can't see any separation at all. I just now need to man up and take it! All paranoid now about what else could of been in the powder lol

Sometimes your oil seperates. Stir/shake well while brewing. I would warm your vial now and shake it well to make sure it's totally in solution. Usually water will make your product look foggy.

Apologies I think I have confused things.i was meaning like other substances not like bacteria. Say I'm lucky and raws are 80%, I worry about what the other 20% is made up of. I have just brewed up test e 200mg/ml and I'll be sending off a sample this week to be tested. I'll be letting everyone know the results.

That would be awesome! Which lab did you get it from?

Okay cool, both the test e and the deca i brewed is from purple panda labs.

Both dosed the same at 200mg/ml so will be interesting to see what the test results are!

Many people don't realize that Benzyl Alcohol is a bit hygroscopic (absorbs moisture from air)
and it forms an azeotrope with water
Azeotrope tables - Wikipedia

While BA boils at 401 F (205 C), the azeotrope boils at 99C
So heating the brewed mixture in a warm (not hot) OIL BATH (not water bath to avoid water vapor getting in), helps dry the brew.
