So talk more about gear and stay in those threads. You actually gave some really solid advice on how to store it for years. Other than that, you’re just the asshole neighbor that moved in and everyone literally hates. Not necessarily because of your opinions, but your presentation. Actually, it’s probably a culmination of both, but mainly you just come off as a blow hard and haven’t even put in any time or contributions here for anyone to honestly give a damn about what you say.

I've been to Chicago several times and it is bad, however it's been like that for a very long time. It didn't just happen in the past few months.
I remember the first time going there it was bars on the window, cash transactions where all handled with a drop box through bullet proof glass and that was for burger king. Hotel room had like 8 locks on the door.
What can you say, there's are some fucked up places in this country.
However I don't make any exceptions when it comes to the police executing unarmed citizens. It's worse in that situation because these people are supposed to have training and instead they have qualified immunity to cover their asses.
For me it's pretty simple, I live as far away from people as possible. Growing up in San Antonio during the 70's and 80's which was a fairly violent period and getting into lots of fist fights. More people more problems. That's why I've always preferred living in fairly rural areas, you know your neighbors, your shit doesn't get stolen, everyone is armed.

However like I mentioned earlier, only 5% of arrests are for violent crime.
Can a cop prevent a violent crime, or do they wait until it's been carried out and arrest the perp if they can. We know this doesn't work because the war on drugs works the same way, you arrest one guy and ten more dealers pop up the next week.
Police presence on the street is said to deter violence, but the gang wars show this isn't true. Lots of cops in LA during the 80's, shitloads of ass whooping cops and it was still a war zone.
Like I said, if you get lots of people together, over populate an area you're gonna have more problems.
Most of what cops do is really just some form of revenue collection. A cop that isn't bringing home the bacon, isn't going be around for long. Cops aren't gonna do a whole lot if it doesn't affect their bottom line, the huge amount of unsolved violent crimes is the evidence the cops put their resources where it fills their wallets fastest.
