These ones where screwed on with self tapers. If there was concrete above we usually shoot them. I always wanted to try the welder, but have never seen them used at our shop

started forming the strips in the kiln today, 24 strips to cast in total, also been assembling the kiln dam formwork the last couple days. hectic job this goin to be cool when its finished. another job for the photo album

we are into the rythym now, both shifts hitting a full strip (90metres) of cast per shift, setting up the next row of panels and stripping the formwork from the previous shift. all this in 11 hours then we do a kiln turn so nightshift can repeat the proccess..

heres a bit of formwork for you boys, installedthis in 6 hours. i been waiting 4 weeks to do this. been getting anxiety thinking i may have messed it up. but it all went in perfect. took 9 tonne of cast and didnt leak or move one bit
nightshift formed up the second half and tried it a different way, theres moved 1 inch and leaked.. i told them to copy what i did but they dont like being told basic stuff

Finally on the home stretch of those office buildings. I'm working in the basement putting up some 2" rigid board with a white facing. Got 2 to do each @ 40,000 sqft. My boss is talking about sending some other guys out there. I hope he doesn't, he didn't want to give me any help when I was doing all the fucked up stuff, now I got the gravy he wants to send help. It is what it is. I gearing down my weekend work, my daughter has been really missing me, so I am going to do every other Saturday for awhile see if that helps. If not I might need to drop them all together, I am hoping not though. The time and a half is nice.
