Controlled Delivery

Question...Oh Meso Gurus

On a controlled delivery. I get a package, don't know who it's from, and I accept it. That's pure human nature to accept a package thats being delivered.
In order to prosecute, or develop Probable Cause, do they have to ask you any specific questions, like...were you expecting this package...etc.?

Just curious, I've been waiting for a package and the source..(not from this board) gave me the tracking #. He uses UPS, had I known this, I wouldn't have ordered from him. He's really taken his time on the order, so I'm just being paranoid.

Should I eat the loss and move on, or take the risk and sign?

and....

BTW, I have several bros who use this guy with no probs....but I'm a paranoid fuk. He usually delivers within a week for them, but it's been 2 for me. He told me that he was low on supplies, hence the delay.

first and foremost we can go back and forth with what ifs all night, and the police and government can do whatever they want too you regardless of what anyone tells you,(whos gonna stop em your lawyer, get real once his cheacks written,bye-bye) but most sources dont use ups,THEY SUCK,most use usps, and some good ones fed-ex,...(international,TNT and such)but yes that kind of situation is kinda entrappy, but it can be done ,and it can be gotten out of,most ups just leave it at the door,if your keen you will know when something isnt right,im going to stop here and just tell you if he gave you TR # and its not there yet its lost,

Domestic

No, it's domestic...he just gave me the tracking num this morning. It just shocked me that it was UPS, cuz i've never gotten a UPS package from a source. He uses remailers in the US. I'm just trying to be careful.

Go ahead, just tell me I'm being paranoid

well its ok to be a little paranoid with everything that has went on lately. but I think you should be fine seeing that he just gave you the tracking # this mornining. but just as jagers said they can do anything thaey want to I know this form experience.

well your being paranoid,if your not then somethings wrong,UPS was a bad choice imo, ecspecially for a remailer anyone that knows about mail services 2+2 knows UPS pretty much has their own laws

Just calm down and wait. Sometimes it takes a while. We all talk about controled deliveries, but it does not happen that often. Steroids are real low priority or this board would not be here.

my experience with ups is that they take their time, i had a source a while back that used ups and it would always take them longer than predicted.
In my opinion, not as reliable as usps.
just my .02

good luck bro

ups

A well known source on this board has used ups the last few times I have used them and it was not an issue, no sig required, just came home to find package waiting by the door, if no sig required just let them leave it

I used UPS a lot. Because FEDEX will *always* try to get a signature even if you aske for it to be waived. Same things for USPS Express. UPS must hire the laziest fvcking people because they never ask for a signature, ever.
Brain dead idiots. This why I "love brown".

However, I am "switching" couriers again...maybe? Gotto mix it up to play it safe. But I can tell you I have NEVER had an issue with a UPS delivery.

Hey bro, i used to work at UPS!!!! Just joking !!

To answer the original question:

In his book Legal Muscle Rick Collins says that simply accepting a package and taking it into your hands is considered "possession". The delivery person may try even to push the package at you so that you take it but don't do it. I think this would also constitute probably cause and then your premises could be searched. If anything is found then the package is all the more incriminating.

I don't have the book with me but that is how I remember it. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Thanx guys

I think I'm gonna eat it, and have them send it back. The order is small enough to lose, and too small to take a risk for.

I'm gonna stick to Meso bros in the future...

Peace

Hey Traps

Traps, your paranoid....take it off your doorstep, take it in the house, write; "return to sender" on it,and wait.......you could just say it was the wrong order.....

The eagle has landed

Hey Bros, Order recv'd. I played with the UPS man for a few minutes, and refused the order. I let him get back to his truck after he gave me paperwork to contact the sender. (just to see if he had proper paperwork)

I then took the order, and signed some goofy name.

Thanks for the advice

haha im not sure who made that up but it has stuck around that DOES NOT work imagine picking it up 1 writing on it 2 opening your door sitting it down whack 3 cops fuck you up in the jaw and throw you to the ground, bam run in your house,if anything let the fucker sit out there but most likely theyll just show up at your door and say fucka controlleed delivery,if they do that its because they dont have that much evidence on you as they hoped and they need "your written" permission,so play it safe next time and just stick with a fake name to your house and "i dont remeber that"hillbilly attitude

I'm a building contractor and build several homes at any given time. Could'nt I just use a phoney name and have it delivered to one of the homes that is almost completed? Would they drop off the package or would they try and take it to a neighbors home or something??? What about send a package to a hair salon that a buddy's parents own and then have the package say "c.o. Nick" or something like that??? Some thoughts that I have anyway...
