man, if you're gonna be a cop...or try to be, you'd be better off going natural...at least until you get hired and are past your probationary period. I am friends with a number of police officers and between lie detector tests, oral board exams and psych evals, they're probably gonna smell bs if you lie to them. Those guys are great at sorting out the bs and and reading your eyes, body language etc.
If you go in there clean and with a clean concious, your odds will improve greatly. Unless you plan on being a professional bodybuilder, I think your career is a little more important than being huge this month

Yes,stay clean until you get on then you can do all the AAS and coke you want just like alot of other cops. You also get to drive around all day giving out tickets,and when you retire,you will get the best pension in the world. What a life
best pension in the world...hmmm dont know what cops you are talkn about but not those in most states. now there are a few that take care of their cops, but not many. Most get a similar salary to a manager at food market or convenience store. plus, a good 1/3 will end up having to retire early due to injuries obtained while on duty. most are legit, now of course, you do have some pussies who can't live with an ache joint or two, but most go out with blown knee's..etc. and dont get me started on fire fighters, they have a tough job to do often, but i will use those in my city for example.....1...they don't go into a fire to save someone if there is a 50/50 chance they could die also ...period. now i know at least a dozen cops who...usually first on scene because they are not asleep...rush in and pull the people out of the fire, wearing only a polyester uniform that would graft itself to their skin if it got too hot. hmm not a hero? ya ok. its often cops on scene first who are doing the cpr, first aid until the ems arrive. and what do they get? disrespect and anger by most of society because we have to pay them to baby sit most of us whinny ass cry babies. they lose the right to free speech....most are not allowed to cuss at a citizen, but have to stand there and take it from you. are not supposed to go to titty bars, etc since someone may recognize them as a cop (out of uniform) and think it is unprofessional and looks bad on their department. things and freedoms we take for granted, they give up and do so willingly. dont assume all are power hungry ticket writers. if you dont screw up , you wont get in trouble.
granted, in some areas, especially large cities with cops in the thousands, you will end up with graft and corruption. but what do you expect. they cant find enough quality people, so they lower standards and hire who they can to fill the spot...praying they will not go sour.
ok, i could go on and I apologize for the long rant and hijacking, but i get tired of people talking trash about all cops. a small percent are bad, not the majority. also, about gear...they have minds of their own and don't necessarily believe it should be illegal for all to use some substances either as long as it doesnt hurt someone else. and they have discretion on what they enforce, not all are heavy handed or hippocritical.
reference his question, i respect hi choice and sacrifice if he stays with this career, dont do until you are through the lie detector. the physical only checks for dope not aas. you will fail if you lie, some can beat it but not even 5 percent of those who try can fake a lie detector.

great post, boomr. just wait till after hiring and probation, since you're thinking about the subject now, just what do you think will happen while taking the poly? It will be on your mind, and you wont be able to hide it. Those guys are good, they will pick it up. I wouldnt worry about the drug test, worry about the polygraph. Although i know guys who swear they beat the poly, they're the rare exception, if they actually did beat it. Most agencies, if not all, dont test for aas, although one in my area definitely does, believe it or not. In my opinion, they should be putting cops on cycles while in their academies. Cops should be huge, intimidating, strong authority figures. We put our entire trust in them at our most vulnerable times, and they deal with drugged out ex-cons that come out of jail from using themselves that would do anything to avoid getting arrested one more time. Just a way to even out the score between cops and bad guys, i guess. oops, sorry about that, anyway, just wait, you'll be glad you did.....or just dont use..ever....yea, right.

btw drug test are for narcs not aas....it's too costly and most dept's are too cheap.

Your out of your mind unless your in one of those backwards ass southern states. Cops make a killing up here,and their pensions are now 75% of salary with full benefits. It's sickening,because they don't do shit. I forgot they do have the stress of having to chase the kids off the street corner. If i knew then what i know now,i would have been a fireman. They have the best hrs and don't have many serious fires in this town. They also get 75% pension and make very good moneyboomr said:
