Yeah, we're all sick to fuckin death of talking about it and yeah we 've all got different opinions about vaccines/boosters blah blah blah.

I had almost made my peace with people with opposing views "post restrictions" to mine who don't wanna wear masks/social distance etc in public coz I thought they were entitled to personal freedom of choice....up until today when an Asda shelf stacker turned to me with a massive sneeze straight in my face just as I picked up some chicken fillets !!!

Luckily for me I still wear PP3 masks shopping so that was just annoying and disgusting !!!

The fight is back on !!!

To all the posters in this thread so far who are trying to be clever and dismissive, my answer is this.

I respect your choice to not wear a mask or distance from others if it's clear that you are in the company of someone with your same viewpoint but why don't you respect my view for clearly wanting personal space observed when I'm wearing a mask and why won't you stay away from me?

Ok, let's back up. Every time I post in your thread here, you refuse to read what I type and you make accusations that have absolutely no basis.

I never went off topic, and I never said anything personally insulting to you, unless you believe that me calling out your hypocrisy is me trying to make things personal, then I don't know what to tell you.

It is literally you doing all of these things of which you accuse me. You are literally projecting the things you're doing, onto me. Which is my entire point. You are shitting on people that don't wear masks (ergo, you do not respect that viewpoint), you are making moot points that are time wasting and petty on an argumentative level, and you are the one making things personal, or at least taking them personally.

So wait, you create a thread, and I ask what the point of the thread is, and you refuse to explain it to me telling me I have a high level of self importance for asking for clarification?

What am I missing here? I’m asking you to help me understand, and you refuse to do so. I’m genuinely trying to have a conversation with you, but I can’t do that because you won’t explain anything to me, and you keep trying to dismiss me as rude or off topic or self important.

Sad to say this is a hugely divisive topic. Most have very strong opinions and feel the other side is wrong, including those who don’t care, don’t care if you do wear a mask don’t care if you don’t. Much of the supposed congeniality we may see in public over this is a lie, at least personal experience. Most people really want everyone to think like them. These threads never have any resolution. What this disease has brought out of society is worse than its physical suffering and deaths, in my opinion. It has revealed a lot about humanity and most not really pretty picture, lies, anger, fear, power grabs, selfishness, opportunism. And I am no different. I hate masks, I will wear if I have to because I have things to do but if I don’t have to I am not wearing it and honestly I would prefer to not be around strangers that do wear masks. I have moved checkout lines because the family in front of me wears masks and I don’t want to even have a chance of any weird questions or even worse, conflict. I am uncomfortable in restaurants where I am seated by people who wear masks upon entering. I don’t want trouble and I know many mask wearers are offended and disgusted by me not wearing one and the last thing I want is drama over this. So I absolutely avoid people wearing masks if possible. One guy wears it in the gym and I will try to not even walk by him, here I am sweating and breathing heavy and he is wearing a mask, I am sure he wants me as far away as possible. This is such an odd thing we have going here. I just don’t want unnecessary trouble for me and others and this can be such a trigger for many, if I don’t know you and you are masked up, I am staying away if I can. And I am sure many appreciate it haha!, there are probably unmasked people that wished I stayed away!
