Creatine Question

I know someone else below brought up how creatine upsets their stomach so this is not about that. I just want to know what your overall opinions are of creatine and how you all take it. I've heard that you should cycle with it and I've also heard that you don't have to cycle with it. Plus, I've heard people say it's just a waste of money and doesn't do much. Anyway, what are your opinions on it and if you guys like it how do you take it and how much do you take? Thanks!

I know a guy who can't take it due to upset stomach, but he is the only bro I know having that prob. Personally I like the stuff. I just buy the Creatine Phosphate powder from GNC and mix it either in my shake or in a serving of apple or orange juice and drink it post workout. Like everything it prob works better for some than others hence the varying opinions of it. Try it. If it works use it. If it doesn't dont.

Honestly, most of us here prob dont even need to supplement it because it is found in red and white meat (more in red than white). I assume most of us here eat a good portion meat so we are probably gettnig enough in our diets.

The amount in meat isnt very much, plus, creatine is cheap so you might as well just buy the powder.

Not sure of the exact amounts in meat but you are definately right about it being cheap. That is why I use it. Definately can't hurt.

I've heard of guys taking it an hour before their workouts because they say they get the benefits of it during that workout. Does it really matter when you take it? Can you take a little before and after? Just curious which gives you more benefits. Plus, do you guys cycle with it? Take it for a month or two and then take a couple weeks off from it? Thanks

I wouldn't take creatine with orange juice. Creatine is a protein, and the low pH of orange juice will denature a fair amount of it. Stick with basic carb sources like apple juice or grape juice.

Pick up some dextrose/glucose/similar for the best results.

Personally, I think using it post-workout is the best bet during the maintenance phase. Loading should be taken 3-4x/day. Also, I really dont see how anyone can say that they get benefits, or noticing any benefits, by taking it pre-workout. If anything, that is in their head. Its not a stimulant, it doesnt promote increased mental focus or aggression.

I've just read some articles where it was said that taking it an hour before a workout gives it time to reach your muscles to increase performance during a workout. I've read other articles that have said exactly what you are saying as well so that's what can be confusing. You get so many different opinions on all of this stuff it can make your head spin, if you know what I mean! ;)

LMAO fuk no -- Those ad/articles they have are so damn annoying and there are at least 2 to every issue. WTF is up with muscle tech and their over powering status in the supp industry??
