Ok here is my training split. I am curious that when i get on my aas cycle in 2 months i want to know how long i can train without overtraining. please critique. i will be entering my first competition next year and i want to put on as much size as possible right now. My weakpoints are my calves and back. Now here is my split:

sun- chest/12-15 sets
mon- upper legs/ 12-15 sets
tues- back/12-15 sets
wed- calves/ 12-15 sets
thur- shoulders/ 12-15 sets
fri- bis and tris/ 8 or more sets each
sat- weakpoint day(back and calves)

Do you think this is probably too much for someone not on aas. Do you think i should incorporate a weak point training day. Can you help me? how many sets can i do when i do get on my cycle. thanks. Please ask questions if you dont have enough info. I really would like the help. thanks.

What are your stats? If your like 160lbs and been pounding the weights for a few years, and not much has happened, then it is way to much. But all that aside I would cut down the days and the sets. No more then four days in the gym and no longer then 45min. For major bodyparts I would do 6-8 sets and for smaller ones 2-3 sets. Also how is your diet? High protein, good fats and moderate carb? Some people can do 15 sets for chest, 15 sets for back, etc. But their usually on gear or have great gentics. Oh and on gear you could bump it up a bit, but not 6 days a week I would think. Your body grows out of the gym.

Bro, to me that seems like too many days in the gym and a little high in volume for a natural bodybuilder. Since you're bulking, keep the calories high and aim for 4-5 days per week of training. Training while on AAS is a totally different story though, as your body can tolerate more volume, training sessions, etc. You could try like a 2 on 1 off split and see how that works until you get on the AAS.

but could i train like i have my routine set out when i do get on them. Can i train with even more volume then that. what are some of your splits that you use when your on aas. thanks.

No, unless you are a gentic FREAK and on gear, what you are doing is too much. Most Pros don't work out as much as you are. You need time to recover, even on gear. Five days is the most I would go with and if i did that i would drop the sets down to the single digets: 6-9 sets. Don't forget YOUR BODY GROWS OUTSIDE THE GYM.

dang i didnt know i was working out that hard. So what is your routine like when your on gear. I am a person that likes very intense workouts, what is the most i could do without overtraining. thanks.
