DC training question

So I started DC training about a week ago and have a question. Are you supposed to keep each negative at an 8 count on every rep for all exercises? This is what I am getting from the reading and want to make sure I am doing everything right.
Also anyone that has been using the DC training method and had success let me know. I haven't heard many success stories on this site and am giving this a go to try to get past a plateau I've had in reaching size gains for quite some time.
Thanks bros.

Another DCer.......cool.

Anyway, to answer your question.....Dante(DC) has said that you don't need to focus so much on how many seconds your negative rep is, but that you "control" the weight going down. My negative on an exercise is about 2-3 seconds........that's it. Don't get hung up on if your going down to fast or too slow......just focus on controlling it.

With that said......there are some exercises where it is not prudent to do a negative because it's too dangerous. Squats and deads are two examples.

I've been doing this program for over a year.......and I absolutely love it. I have gained some serious size with this program and I recommend it to others who are "stuck" and need a change of pace.

Hope that answered your question.

Thanks Snow. That is what I needed to know. I'm hoping to get some serious size using this program. It is hard to believe that with only one working set you can do this but I have been pretty damn sore the day after these workouts.
We'll see how it goes.

You guys care to post some links up that detail DC for a brother?

Thanks

I have the entire 400+ page "cycles for pennies" thread taken from animalkits in a word doc if anyone wants it. Shoot me your e-mail and I'll send it to whoever wants it.

There are a couple of boards where Dante posts as well as many of his trainees. Not sure if I can post those here or not.

Muslhead.. you're doing DC's training method? How long have you been doing it? DC's program is one that works well for some people and not so well for others, Keep an eye on the program, if you're not improving after 6-8 weeks, I would consider using another program.. If you like using those precanned training programs you might consider HST, as I think it's one of the better "laid out routines"

Take care bro,

Phreezer

Hell I hope to God that I am one that it works well for and not the other % that it doesn't :(
I've never really used any of those "precanned" routines before but seems like I am stuck in a rut where I can't get any more size. I am hoping this will stoke the fire. I will check out the HST though and give it some thought.
Thanks Phreez.

I will agree with this 110%. It did not work that well for me and I followed it to a 'T'. I even had contact through a few boards with Dante about it.

It is a good plan but may not be for everyone. maybe about 50% of the people who work at it and give it 100% dedication get the results they are looking for from it.
