With the 1 Billion threads about the bench press and chest exercises I thought one on dead lifts would be a nice change of pace.

365 for 1 today but i forgot my gloves and i think i pulled my groan getting off the forklift 2 days ago. I stopped my normal workout before i even started and then did some partial deads, shrugs, calfs, and abs. Basically today,i was lost in the gym. I went in all ready to get in a good dead workout and everything went wrong.

I'm at 590 now, I'm hoping to get that elusive 600 by the end of January. It's funny, the difference between the two......

GS

The difference between the two? Hell, I'd never do 590 again if I were you. If you were that close just throw on 600 and pull it!

The most I've pulled is 655, but I'm pretty sure I'll pull 700 in 2 weeks. I don't think in terms of 10lbs - I think in terms of 50lbs.

Oh just rub it in... 50 lbs... LOL hahaha..... yeah, I don't know if it's mental or what, but I'll be damned if I put 600 on there I can only get a few inches out of it.
Oh, get this, I was told three days ago that we are no longer alowed to use chalk in the weight room because (and this is the kicker) it is a safety risk, "someone might SLIP"

545 x 3 ages ago.

gotta see how I can do post-surgery. did 345 x 3 sets of 5, no worries, back and shoulder felt fine. i'll up the weight slowly but surely over the next few months and see if I can get back to 5 wheels.

LOL - I was actually clean for a couple years. Then a few months ago I started up again, but I'm running low dose test (400-500mg per week) and then I'll throw in some dbol (20-50mg per week) as I try to peak my strength.

My outlook on gear has totally changed lately. You don't need that much. I've done grams and grams per week before and the law of diminishing returns really kicks in.

Sometimes I think you're inside my mind and typing the shit I think. That's exactly what I've found, too. I've done some heavy, heavy ass cycling. Probably close to 3 grams/wk total. My last cycle was a measely 50mg prop/50mg tren EOD, 300 mg EQ/wk and 25mg dbol/day for about 7 or 8 weeks and I think it's the best cycle I've ever done.

Maybe it's because I was working off of muscle memory or whatever, but my arms shot back up to 19.5" without much training them at all. Sure, they're not the 20.25" they used to be when on an assload of juice, but I bet I could make it there if I tried. Using half the total shit, too.

how long have you been off .. your only going to need alot if you use alot (meaning many cycles .. long cycles or short very close together which is basically a long cycle) or are close to your max weight

Ummm - wrong again. Most of us never go off - I've been using low dose gear for 6 months now and I don't need to use more to make gains.

managed 345x5, 395x5x3, 345x5 without any shoulder or back issues

we'll see how things feel tomorrow, but I'm pretty stoked since I never thought I'd even get to 225 again. :D

Wrong again? Don't know why you have it out for me but i'll play along ... When i say alot,i just mean ALOT more than you would if you gave yourself enough time between cycles for SHBG to return to normal. I thought you have been off cycle for some time now,now you say you have been using. So what is it? What is low dose to you? AND what do you mean by MOST OF US? Most of your friends .. strength athletes? So it is ok for me to stay on as long as i stay on low doses? Low doses make no sense to me because your just inhibiting your natural test without any results ... UNLESS your worried about your diet and training and want to make sure you keep what you have. OK then i can see that

How about we see what max dead is pound for pound .. let's see i can get 190lbs over my bodyweight on boxdeads. What about everyone else?

I can get almost 400lbs over my bodyweight on box deads.

MW,

I don't have it out for you - I'm just giving you a friendly hard time. I was off for almost two years and have now been back on for over 6 months. I use low dose (about 400mg test per week and occasionally add low dose dbol) Gains can and will be continually made with that dose. You never need "alot." As I approach a meet I may up the dose slightly, but just slightly.

And by "most of us" I meant elite level strength athletes - and since this thread is about a deadlift max, then I figured it applied.

;) .. That's good to hear because i was ready to get into it with you lol .. Man,i really was and it would have been stupid as hell. I usually don't let things get to me but your comment had me pissed off a few times today. I'm not really losing my temper but i'm very heated up at times lately. I like this board and the people on it,so i just have to keep a cool head ... maybe next time i get mad,i'll count to 10 ;)

next time yuo get mad, remember that tren is known for inciting temper. :P

best pull ever for me was 545 @ 205, lifetime natty, no belt. and at the same time, I was running high 12:00's in my 2-mile run for military and could hit 8 miles in 1:20 with an 80-lb pack.

Best i did in 3 miles was 19sec but i never practiced to get any higher ... We did a run with rifles, pack, boots ... maybe 50lbs in 35min ... We did an 18 and a 26mile hump with prbably a good 80lbs but i don't even know what those times were. I know i felt good when they were over :)
