Delivery Attempt: Action Needed - Signature Required

So an international order just arrived as it's destination today. I checked tracking and noticed it said "Delivery Attempted: Action Needed". When I picked up the mail the slip stated a signature was required. Is this normal for international shipments or have any of you had to do this for a similar situation? With all that's been happening over the past month I wanted to check before pursuing.

The online status stated "Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available)" but the actual PS Form 3849 had the "Adult Signature Required" box checked. I believe I can sign that form and schedule the redelivery.

Contact the source before signing and picking anything up. NEVER sign for domestic but some international DO require a signature.

Will do TB. I have sent the source an email for clarification. Even if I would sign the 3849 form and have them redeliver does that remove any deniability on my part? Technically I still have no idea what it is, all I know is I have a package. Or maybe my thinking is wrong here....

Signing it acknowledges you are expecting something which implies ordering. Wait to hear back from the source. Also, see what others have to say before just taking my word. Be safe.

You said it was international. Shouldn’t be an issue man I’ve had some come that required signatures.

Edit: just my 2 cents.

Awesome thanks for letting me know. Did you go to the PO to pick them up and sign for them or did you just sign the slip and have them deliver it?

I am going to do that. The surly old bag I've had to deal with at our PO before makes me want to give her the cookies so she might get the 'beetus....but on the other hand she might see this as an act of kindness so it's win win.

I have had to sign for every International order I've done. I'd way rather schedule another delivery attempt and sign with the postman than go into the past office and do it. I've only had to go to post office once and it was a little nerve racking lol

When u go up there just say something like “hey I work out of town a lot is there anything I can sign that will give the delivery person permission to sign for me.”

Should not be an issue. I get packages every other week. Majority of my packages require signatures. USPS now does not do 2nd attempts. Well here in FL and NYC that is as I dont know in other states.

So once they leave that slip you have to go and get it which do require signature. Usually my slips say to sign it but I never do because at the postal office they make me sign on the touch screen pad regardless. Anyways, you are good bud. If they really wanted you they will try to deliver it to you personally so that they can get a warrant for your home as well. 2 birds with 1 stone sought of speak.

Good luck bud

This has been happening to me recently too, from a long time international source, a very well known, respected one.
I contacted the source and explained the issue and they said they never send anything signature required.
So, I just said fuck it, walked in to the p.o. and gave the lady , I think it was a lady anyway the slip . She came back and said sign the pad. I just made a doctor's scratch and asked why I have to do this?
Answer was , it's registered mail, signature required.
So wtf, it's my second round of this shit and I have a feeling, three strikes and bang .
Thinking of trying another source even though the quality is on point. Im not feeling this in person signing business.

Was it Adult Signature required? It doesn't really specify on my slip but does say if it's Adult Sig Req'd I can't sign the slip and have them redeliver then have to go pick it up. I guess this is a first for me too so I will sign the slip and report back.

Following for info. Exact same thing happened to me couple days ago. Everything i have read always says dont sign for shit. I missed the postman, but saw he was still in the neighborhood so went up to him and said "i think this was delivered to my roommate. Can i just grab it?" Asked for my id (which i was not about to do that) said he was out of town for a week to which he said they will hold it for a week. The whole id thing through me, but i guesa jo shmo off the street coulda just grabbed it. I did email source and they said it happens with international, but depends on state to state and it was out of their hands. Let us know what happens with signing the slip. Wanted to try that
