DEXA read me as 8%. I am 90% sure I"m not 8%. I'm not ripped. Anyone else get similar off result?

I just got my first DEXA scan. Mirror tells me overall i'm 10-13%. But I carry 8 mm fat/skin over a lot of my back. 13 mm in the love handles. I got that down from 28 mm, so I'm happy where I'm at. My ab skin fold is 5 mm. I seen ripped guys pinch their skin, and it's way less than my pinch. So I get a f*in 8% DEXA. The tech actual thought Id be 20% lol (I wear baggy clothes). She was really blown away at 8%. I wasnt happy b/c I thought if that 8% is true, then I'll never look ripped lol. She made it sound like she rarely sees % that low, so it's not like this machine just reads low. Maybe I have a watery type fat? Bc she said I have almost no visceral fat. I'm just thinking there's something a miss here and I think I wasted my time (it wasnt too $)
I had one meal that day, medium , 2 hrs before, and was normal for me hydrated.
Is it possible im actually 12+ % with a dexa saying 8? i really hope so b/c I'd like to look better with this back fat gone. Im not dieting hard, even more why 8%l doesnt make a lot of sense to me and im 51 lol.

I think dexa is very inaccurate. Seeing this with fitness influencers too.

Best judge is mirror, pics and measurements and maybe a scale. Dexa is a fancy crap.
 
Pic comparison when on a cut makes more sense for progress. As for contentment, no matter what number comes out, people with body dysmorphia will never be happy.
 
Ill take pics. I know that is best way to know your progress. I also use calipers to gove an indicator on gaining or losing fat. I thiught would be interesting to know my actual % at a certain "snap shot" with dexa. I guess if i ever get to "actual" 8-10 % dexa will say 0-3 lol.
Someome mesntioned gesr use affecting results. I am using but trt level t 175 / week , 250'primo. Just changed the p to 150 primo and 150 masterone a week and 5 mg mk677 ed 5days a week.
 
People hold fat in different places based on genetics. Possibly you lost most of your visceral fat but are holding most the remaining fat subq. MK 677 is notorious for causing water retention which would make you look higher % as well.

Some people burn up there subq fat and still hold a lot of visceral. So me people will have ripped abs and there legs are still plump. Varies a lot where you lose first.

I'd drop the MK, wait 4 weeks or more, and get another one to confirm.
 
I got a skin fold test from gym owner, I said I know i'm not 8% ... he said you're right, b/c you're 7% ugh lol ..THough it's clear almost all of it is my back. 14 mm skin fold there. I know I need to post pics.. tomorrow :-D
I'm just glad that all the posts here say to really go by the mirror not any test. , never spending $ or time on one again. -- skin fold was free. I'll do that to compare my back fold in a few weeks

This is soo true about holding fat in different places... I currently sporting a 6 pack with a double chin haha
 
I would say people on here are as accurate as you can get, lol better then any machine.

Its kind of simple to know you bf range within 1-2%, just by mirror…

That said every single person here estimates there bf lower then it really is.
 
I had a turbinaectomy and deviated septum surgery, worse recovery , so I'll be delayed on pics. Lost from what I calculae from my blood work (dr wont tell me ) 1 1/2 - 2 pints of blood post op, needed second surgery to stop the blood., was nuts. I look different now, and trying to re coup. i'm posting new post on question how to regain my blood back quickest lol ugh.
