DFHT/DFST cycling questions

I am thinking about giving the DFHT or DFST training methods a shot, I have been reviewing them for quite awhile and really like the way it looks, there may be a few little changes that I make, but I will post them here to see what you guys thing of the changes. Now to my question, on these programs how many weeks do you spend loading before taking a deloading week? I saw in the DFHT post it says to run 2-3 weeks then deload, do I understand that right? Or is it better to just listen to your body and when you start to feel more broke down just to take your deload week? It appears there is no peaking phase to this program, though it does not seem as specifically meant for strength as much as something such as the 5x5 is. I really appreciate you guy's help.

dual factor theory as how i understand it is simply a guideline to fine tune loading blocks to coincide with the "wave" pattern of how your body will perform. when you load, ideally you can train at a certain intensity/frequency/volume for about 3-5 weeks before your CNS becomes over fatigued in which time you need to deload, whether by intensity/freuency/volume.

the 3-4 weeks is just a guideline, and a general range for most people. i'd imagine there will always be people that can load for like 5 or 6 weeks on a constant basis, and others that can only handle 3.

other factors must also be taken into account. how intense is the loading? how is your recovery work?... in elite athletes the guidelines may be stricter, ie you MUST deload after say 3 weeks, but that's because their nutrition, recovery, whatever is perfect and their progress is a pretty clear graph.

if you take a look at many peaking programs they can be set up to follow 5x5, as dual factor is nothing new... apparently.
