DHT too low?

I recently had my DHT tested and the result was;

3.54 nmol/l

The range was written as;
MALES: Testosterone/dihydrotestosterone Ratio Post HCG:mean 10(range 2-20).

Can anyone explain these ranges; Does my DHT look a bit too low?
Thanks.

Well it is not the same as my test. I was 61 range 25-75 ng/dL If you could convert it into ng/dL you could tell by my range.
From what I understand there are only a few labs that do DHT testing.
My test was done at Cleveland Clinic.
Here is a good link I found that is not just about hair loss.

to convert nmol/liter to ng/dl divide by .0347. That would put you at 102 ng/dl. The normal range at Qwest Lab for DHT is 25-75 ng/dl.

Transdermal Testosterone may take one above normal. Scrotally applied transdermal testostereon may take one significantly above normal.

Some docs freak out at high DHT levels due to prostate enlargement and prostate cancer growth promotion. While others say its danger is quite overrated and that DHT applied directly actually decreases prostate size. While high DHT levels are associated with BPH, the jury seems to be out still on whether its a cause or cure. Blocking DHT with an aromataze inhibitor seems to decrease prostate size. But so does, ironically, the application of pure DHT. So, who knows?

If your 102 ng/dl is above the normal range for the lab who did your bloodwork, talk to your HRT doc to determin if being "out of range" is OK for you.

Good article, Phil.

Matt: I have noticed that when my DHT is low, my libido drops. However, it doesn't necessarily go up when DHT is high. My DHT seems to be happy right in the middle.
