Diastasis after pregnancy

Any women here have this after giving birth? My wife has it and is afraid to exercise until it's gone. Actually,it's recommended that she doesn't exercise until it's gone or it can get worse. How long will this usually last?

Its supposingly to heal on its own.....I dont know how long it takes as each female is different in their daily acts/routines. I know if it doesnt subside or worsens within time she should have it re-evaluated. Sorry I couldnt help more.
