Did I grab the wrong syringe

Hey I apologize but I’m having a blonde moment. I just got all my supplies except ba, bb and powder. I looked at my 60 ml syringe and am just a little concerned it may not fit the whatman. Research was confusing due to blonde moment. Here’s two pics of what I got. They both say 25mm. Will it not fit?

I don't see any 25mm measurement in the 60 ml syringe.

25mm is the diameter of the filter surface area. If it's a luer lock syringe and luer lock filter you'll be good brother

Edit; was reading diagonally and didn't properly look at the image. That doesn't look like a luer lock syringe. Your local pharmacy should have some if you want it in a hurry

Personally I would definitely prefer not to use a slip on for filtering. The back pressure of the process makes it much more likely that the filter will pop off while filtering and you'll spill your gear everywhere. Now, I HAVE DONE IT and had it work just fine, you just need to REALLY fucking push that thing on and twist it while doing so to get it as secure as possible.

25 mm is the diameter of the disc part of filter. It has nothing to do with the slip-tip or tip size. All tip sizes are the same, I think even throughout the entire world. Those will work just find with anything from a 1 mL luer slip all the way up to a 50 mL or whatever the highest you can find is.

Im gonna hit tractor supply up for a luer lock one. These syringes say for catheters. I didnt look properly when I ordered. You type syringe in amazon and you get a hundred options

Its not. Its a lip on so yes I goofed. I'll grab a new one today. Thanks for advice

Those are called flushing syringes and there is no way to put any kind of luer lock piece onto them.

They are nice for filling vials of finished oil though.

You don't have to worry about the dimensions either, just that two pieces have a luer lock. If they do, you're good to go.

You have a slip lock syringe.. you need a luer luck syringe to attach the filter.. the filter is luer lock on syringe end and slip lock on the needle end..save the 60ml syringes.. work good.for measuring oil and bb.. .. you could slip the filter on the end of the one you have but it risks being pushed off under pressure. Get syringe.that has a luer lock and your good to go

I have the same filters, you need a luer lock syringe bro. It screws on, the one you have is luer slip.

Who the fuck you telling. I had to buy 100 18 gauge needles in bulk from amazon. Tractor supply had 4 for $2.35. Granted the needles in bulk werent expensive but what do I need like 90 extra needles for. Lol.

Exactly, they’re more convenient than the pharmacy even. Quick in n out for a one off purchase.
