Due to injury my left arm is now bigger then my healing right….to fix this do i do hypertrophy for just one side? Or will they even out as they are used?

I gota bad shoulder and I only worked my good side for a while and legs , of course the bad 1 shrunk a bit , but once I healed up was able to train normal it balanced back out after some time. However I think almost every one has one side slighty larger than the other.

Ok nice makes sense, good to know

Depending on the injury they should even out. After surgeries i focused on doing more sets for the injured side. never pushed the good side to failure as it was already ahead.

The answers I have received part from injury and part from having half my body somewhat smaller than the other (just noticable to others from pecs, but I can see the rest), the answer was to never work one side more than the other. The "weaker" part will catch up and in my case it has to 95% all over going by that method. Working the weaker side more than the other risk imbalance again.

Let's say your pecs as mine are different sizes, if you hit one side more you will very likely:
- Risk injure the weaker muscle.
- Creating imbalance since you will unlikely isolate the muscle enough and overtrain other muscles in the same time (e.g. db press does not only active pecs).

Just make sure that the mind muscle connection is on point so you don't e.g. lean more to one side or cheat to get the weight up.

Yea I agree with that. Dnt try an over work the weak side give it time to catch up an as soon as your able start slowly start with bands and very light dumbells just to get blood moving to the area. When I hurt my shoulder my arm and even my pec on that side shrunk also . But came back even it would be so hard to try an work 1 pec, there might be like 1 chest press at the gym u could do it with but then u would get more imbalance like the other guy said because I would also be hitting shoulder tricep ect
