Dirts Brew log

Btw @Sampei just a reminder am I missing anything major in terms of ingredients here? Shipping is expensive so want to get everything I may need
Yes i bought more or less the same things. Just more beaker most of the size and got a glass rod too and a glass dish and a plastic weight boat

Sorry guys I know this is a little off topic but I've been reading through it all and wanting to do my own brew soon
For non steralised vials for a process of

Wash with soapy water
Rinse
Soak in isoprop
Rinse with distilled water

Can the vials go straight into an autoclave bag or do they need to be dried in an oven before hand?
Its just a generic China steam autoclave

Thanks in advance

No need to dry they will get wet anyway into the autoclave bag from the autoclave process. How much did you pay for the autoclave?

@Dirthand question for you or the other chefs. Lets say you are going to refilter twice due to a mess up with filter. The oil has been heated twice at lets say 120-130f or whatever the candle warmer heats too. For when refiltered again and re heated could ba have evaporated? Would it be ok to add maybe .5%ba to whole brew just in case or not needed? Thanks. + @Sampei

Evaporation point or however it's called it's a lot higher than 120/130F.

Like a lot higher boiling point is close to 400F lol

So no you are fine.

Thats what I thought but wanted to ask you guys. Thanks brother! Idk if I broke the syringe filter but it was flowing fast. I mean there are no particles in the brew and i pinned and no pip or anything but idk if I should refilter and go slower.

What type of membrane was u filtering with?

Both are suitable, with the hydrophilic ones being able to filter bac water and anything water based
I don’t think it will be as good as hydrophobic. For filtering the oil molecules would have to have be in contact with as much as possible of a surface. Using a hydrophilic filter will make the oil molecules to clump together like when you mix water and oil, and deceases the contact surface. I could be wrong though but this is my thought
