DNA Testing For Genetic Markers

I saw that Amazon had the 23 and me with genetic marker testing on sale yesterday for $100, usually $200, that included testing for genetic markers and health risks. Things like predisposition to diseases, cancers, male pattern baldness, etc.

It seems that people talk all the time about what PEDs will do to them and how much of a risk something is for them. And one have an opinion on these DNA tests or ever actually used one? Even at full price it seems like a drop in the bucket for AAS users to have eyes wide open, or at least more informed.

It sounds like a really clever way to get somebody to willingly allow you collect and sell genetic information.

That's one of the issues people cite and I'm totally against that, but maybe there's a way to get the results without attaching a name.

Talking to one of the PhD geneticists in the lab that works on cancer research he said when they first came out with these tests they were invaluable in figuring out really important genetic and medical markers. There were some privacy issues and the companies rolled back some of the markers and tests they actually released. Unfortunately I can't really talk to him anymore about these current kits because of the connection he has to an Ex :( It sucks because I learned a shit ton of info about how cancer works and treatments from him.
