DNP- first ten days- my notes

The following post is my notes I have taken on my day to day experience with DNP so far. In my first ten days I have not seen much of visual progress (although I'm hoping I'm just holding water). I also am showing very light side effects. I am fatter than I wanted to be when starting my cycle but had been finding it much harder (seemingly impossible) than in the past to take off some fat. I am hoping this will give me a jumpstart and then I can continue dieting hard until summer. I am lifting weights every second/third day and trying to do some cardio as well. I am keeping calories between 2000-2500, and always below 3000. Starting weight of 263 lbs, up from 235 this past April. I had ballooned up to 283 by Christmas 2006.


Day 1 (January 19)

200 mg down with lunch
Weight 263 lbs down from my DNPless dieting weight of 283 one month ago
Keeping calories around 2000-2500, protein in every meal, lots of water, fish oil\some ground flax seeds and multi vitamin, Melatonin and zinc/magnesium before bed. No exercise today except for lots of snow shoveling. Temp. 96.3
No sides.

Day 2 (January 20)

200 mg with breakfast
Weight 262 lbs
Still no sides
Back workout and more snow shoveling today. Feel good. Temp. 94.7

Day 3 (Jan. 21)

200 mg with breakfast
weight 262 lbs
zero sides
still nothing positive or negative to report. Slightly itchy, starting Benadryl tonight.

Day 4 (Jan. 22)

300 mg with breakfast (thought Id up it slightly because I still feel nothing)
weight 263 lbs
hiking through woods with dog in boot/knee deep snow! Hardcore workout?
still no sides at all, temp. at 96 or so

Day 5 (Jan 23)

Today I tried upping it to 400 mg. Perhaps Im being impatient but my temp is still low and I have felt zero sides except for a slight itch.
Weight up to 264 lbs this morning.
Going to start making more effort to track calories. Today was 2300 calories 64g fat, 214g carbs, 204g protein and 26g fibre.
I think Ill try and back off on the carbs some and lower calories.
Leg workout. Very hard to breath doing squats today.


Day 6 (Jan 24)

Another 400 mg down after breakfast today. Still not feeling any heat yesterday and temp is under 96.
Weight 262lbs. I am going to take Conciliators advice and only weigh in at the end of the cycle, or perhaps once a week/every few days.
4 hour after dnp temp is only 92.5 today. Seems to be LOWERING my body temp!
8 hours after morning dose, temperature at 97.8. Feeling warmer in the evening, still no sleep trouble or night sweats. Calories at 2000, 56g fat, 135 carbs, 224g protein.


Day 7 (Jan 25)

400 mg down again this morning. Did chest workout today. Strength is fine but I run out of breath before strength during each set.
Weight was 259 lbs this morning. The only time I seem to feel the heat is when Im inside a store with my winter coat on. I sweat a quite a bit more inside (with coat on) and outside it feels very comforatable even thought its -15 celsius. I actually feel good on DNP. Surprising after reading so many horror stories of feeling sick and getting no sleep. My energy is good and Im sleeping like a baby. (using the melatonin, zma and allergy pills at night before bed) Im planning to keep my dose at 400 mg for the next week. Calories at 2000-2200. I will do more cardio next week when I get my elliptical machine fixed. 2200 caloeies, 70g F, 203g C, 179g P.

Day 8 (Jan 26)

Another 400 mg today.
Not a very active day, even the DNP doesnt warm me up enough for the -26 Celsius weather. Nut much for sides, a little sweat thats it. Temp not over 96 today.
Diet today came in at about 2150 calories, 72g F, 152g C and 209g P.


Day 9 (Jan 27)

400 mg down today. A little bit of sweating and very dry throat this morning.
I did my back workout today, went well. I didnt write down calories today, rough guess is about 2700. Still low but was aiming for 2000-2300. Starting to get some cravings. Temp still around 95-96 whenever I check, sweating seems to manage my heat build up.

Day 10 (Jan 28)

400 mg down again. Thinking of upping to 500 mg tomorrow. Only find it hot when I am moving around a lot or when my girlfriend turns up the heat etc. Temp. still constantly low. Weight at 259 lbs still. I dont feel like Im holding a lot of water, but hope I am. My results dont seem to be quite as good as most I read, but Im sure I am being impatient too? Calories around 2500 today. Went for a good fast paced walk today. Still no bad sides.
 
Wow .... just the dropped 20 pounds in 1 month without DNP is something to be congratulated on .... good you got the diet and cardio going for you before you started ... Your a big dude it takes time to buildup in your body in the beginning and also the water weight ... but you should be good to go now .. be patient you should see loss over the next couple of days .. keep us posted

Yeah, the 20 pound drop was mostly water weight. It was my all time highest weight though. Christmas eating.:)

Maybe try splitting the DNP into two doses as well?

And where the hell is it -20? Thats freaking COLD. I would love the burn in that weather!

Congrats man, keep us posted. Everything I've read says it will come off =)
 
yea expect to lose about 5 pounds after the cycle is over .. it took me about 7 days to drop the water weight ... keep us posted on how its going still
 
Hey guys,

It's been as cold as -20-30 degrees Celcius lately here in Eastern Canada, so a great time for DNP for sure. As I update my notes I will continue to post them every few days or so.

Yeah, it's a good idea to run a DNP cycle while we are freezing our balls. Same thing here bro, it is -20-25 celcius in central canada.Keep posting your results.
 
thats sick ... i hate it when it gets to high 20's low 30's .. keep us posted how the last couple of days were

Day 11 (Jan 29)


400 mg again. Decided to keep it here for a few days more, no real rush. I did my leg workout today, strength is fine but reps and sets are cut short. Warmth still easy to tolerate. 2600 calories today. 237 protein, 212 carbs, 81 fat.


Day 12 (Jan 30)


400 mg today. Went for a good walk in the woods today. Calories have been a little higher lately. I think Ill keep it here (2300-2600 range) for a while because Ive been really hungry and this should still keep me in a good defecit.


Day 13 (Jan 31)

Tried 500 mg today. My temp is up between 97-98.5. Eating a bit too much. Thinking of cutting my cycle short to see how much water I'm holding.

Day 14 (Feb 1)

I think I will call today my last day of the cycle so I can sit back and analyze things. I'm down 3 pounds in 13 days. I'm curious to see if I'll get much water loss. My temp is around 97 today, weight is 259.

In which area??? Me I'm in Hochelaga, Maisonneuve, but right now at 'La tour de la bourse' near Square Victoria.
 
I missed a few days of the log because I had to format my HD and forgot to save it. Anyway, I decided to keep going and I'm still taking 400 mg/day. I've been sweating a lot because of the slightly warmer weather. That should change in a few days according to the weather station. I am keeping my calories low (give or take, 2200-2500). Weight as of this morning is 254 lbs.

Id love to run a cycle before it starts getting too warm here.... below freezing is cold here =)
 
Well, I ended the cycle. I felt like a break and wanted to see if I would get any water loss. I lasted 17 days in total.

Day 1 263 lbs
Day17 254lbs

This morning will be 48 hours since my last dose. I weighed in at 256 this morning. My final opinion on my first cycle is mixed. I probably should have stuck to it longer perhaps. In comparison to many logs I've read before my results are nothing to write home about. I had very few sides except for a lot of sweating the last 5 days or so. Perhaps I should have butched up and tried upping my dose for another week before quitting. All things to consider before trying a second cycle, if I do one. It would be nice if I would drop the 5-10 pounds of water weight that I read everybody else talking about now:) I will add any updates in the days (week) to come, if there are any.
