Do I have to change the syringe after dropping (before injecting test)

I dropped my syringe (while I was priming it to get leftover test out of the needle) with open needle cap to the ground, then changed needle and injected. I assume thats fine right? Or should the syringe be also discarded?

One of my homies dropped a insulin in the sink hole and still pinned.

Few days later he got a big lump and he made a hole in it with a needle, then some shit came floating out which he squeezed out.

Everything was fine after!
Moral of the story is trust in your body. Your body is capable of protecting you from anything throwed against you.

Saving that 5€ worth of oil and 10 cent needle was definitly worth the risk of losing a arm.

You’ll live, but realistically sometimes it’s worth taking the loss rather than the risk.
Just wondering, how could it impact me since I changed the needle? Does air somehow get into the syringe through the needle? Also I was priming the syringe so I draw air after changing the dirty needle to get oil which was stuck at the syringe tip into the syringe.

You have a unique sense of humor.

Easy way to get around that by changing your process. After drawing, pull air. I always swap a fresh needle on the syringe after drawing out of the vial. The needle being razor sharp makes pinning a breeze, and is worth the $0.10.

When getting all the air out, tilt to a 45 degree angle, allowing you to leave a tiny bubble about the size of the syringe base. When you aspirate, the bubble will come to the plunger. If you did it right, the bubble will displace most of what would be lost in the syringe cavity.

NEVER inject anything not sterile. If you're really concerned out losing some precious primo, watch the video on Greg Velentino's surgery after dropping his synthol needle on the ground before injecting.

Sorry I was referring to just in general, there may be times where it might be best to just toss it.
What you did changing the needle was a good move. I like to always make sure everything’s sanitary so if it was dropped in something, and it’s not like a full 3mls of gear…I would just toss it. Meaning if you were just trying to get like the last drop out and it rolled around on the ground, I’d just toss that. It doesn’t hurt to just take precautions.
