I use grip straps when deadlifting and sometimes when I am doing sets of 20 on pull ups. Mainly due to my left forearm that has been broken twice and still has hardware in it. It is just not strong enough anylonger to hold onto over 250 lbs. I do not however use a belt or other wraps. I simply try to keep it light enough to avoid needing these items. Also I feel most braces/belts interfear with range of motion.
