Does ba/bb/carrier oil expire?

Does benzyl alcohol, benzyl benzoate, and carrier oil (mig840) expire? They all are 3-4 years old. Is it still safe to use? Google gives mixed answers but the general consensus is no they don’t expire. Would like additional feedback from you guys though. Thanks

Benzyl alcohol will oxidize into benzaldehyde. Older stuff, if not properly sealed, will noticeably smell like cherries. Strangely enough- for any chemists or science curiosu out there- benzyl alcohol retards the oxidation of benzaldehyde to benzoic acid.

Im not sure how bad injecting benzaldehyde is compared to the alcohol, but id expect it to be pippy, tho probably has equal bacteriostatic properties.

Benzyl benzoate as far as i know can not be oxidized easily, or even with difficulty.

I always toss any benzyl alcohol that smells of cherries.

Carrier oils like all vegetable, grain, seed pressed oils will degrade eventually (dont know the rates). Like @narta has said storage is critical. Once you add your solvents, bactosterics, that's when storage times multiply.

My understanding is that you have about a 2 year storage life on carrier oils before they will start to oxidize. I've personally used finished products that were >2 years old, and while hormone levels are good (based on blood tests), they were definitely PIPpy.

I have a sealed and vaccumed tight 100ml benzel alcohol with an expiration of 8/16/23 im wondering if i should use it for l carnitine or not
