Does it matter when I take my glutamine?

Hey guys, I heard from some guys at the gym that if u take L-glutamine with protein it is not absorbed. I thought that was a myth and I've always been taking my glutamine with a scoop of protein, first thing in the morning, post work out and before bed.


What made me have doubts was a thing mentioned in the description of CNP propeptide protein:
"Pro Peptide contains only peptide bonded glutamine at a supplemental level that was determined in one recent study to improve muscle tissue growth. However, that same study concluded that if L-glutamine is consumed at the same time as other proteins or amino acids, the L-glutamine has no effect on muscle growth. A peptide bonded amino acid, such as peptide bonded glutamine, has been shown to be absorbed up to 20 times more efficient than a free amino acid, such as L-glutamine, in the prescence of other proteins or amino acids because peptide bound amino acids are absorbed via a less competitive absorption mechanism."

So is it true or is it a myth indeed and that's all marketing shit? Any senior members care to share some info ?

It was always my understanding that l-glutamine does not go well with other amino acids and it is pretty much useless to mix with a protein drink - however the glutamine peptide may be a different story .......

5 grams about 1 hour pre workout
5 grams 2 hours post workout
or on an off day -5 grams before bed

Just my understanding ......

I know Mr. Pennsylvania and he puts a heaping tablespoon in with every protein drink. Who knows theres a half million stories out there on Glutamine.

That's what I do too. I put the powder in my protein drink everytime.
I just don't wanna keep on doing in and find out that all these times I've put 10-15grams of glutamine were a total waste.

Oops, I meant heaping teaspoon.
