1. Serum Alkalinization and Hydrogen-Rich Water in Healthy Men
2. Effects of oral intake of hydrogen water on liver fibrogenesis in mice. - PubMed - NCBI
3. Hydrogen-rich water affected blood alkalinity in physically active men. - PubMed - NCBI

cliffs:
1. hydrogen functions as an important physiologic regulatory factor with antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antiapoptotic protective effects on cells and organs and the ability to mitigate a variety of diseases

2. hydrogen water protects hepatocytes from injury by scavenging hydroxyl radicals and thereby suppresses liver fibrogenesis

3. These results support the hypothesis that HRW administration is safe and may have an alkalizing effect in young physically active men.

Based on this info, WOULD YOU INVEST IN A WATER IONIZER? they run as low as $40 and up to a couple grand...

Hydrogen water, think about that...
just to clarify hydrogen-rich water is made by a few ways, but one example is the reaction Mg + 2H2O → Mg (OH)2 + H2
so typical water is being separated into (OH)2 + H2, which has purported anti-oxidant ability....

reference: Effectiveness of Hydrogen Rich Water on Antioxidant Status of Subjects with Potential Metabolic Syndrome—An Open Label Pilot Study

(this study showed it to INCREASE HDL by 8% and DECREASE LDL by 13%)
along with 39% increase (p<0.05) in antioxidant enzyme superoxide dismutase (SOD) and a 43% decrease (p<0.05) in thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS) in urine

and just to note, all these studies have been done from 2010 to 2014... this is a relatively new discovery and i've never seen it mentioned around aas users but i think it may be of benefit

Hydrogen is the main inunciation in simple things that have already been administered as vasdiolaters. But being as its now attached to water, that extra hydro atom is ver unstable. Looks like a promotion more than science. No dis respect brother, just chemistry.

not a shill. and most of the products i'm lookin at online seem like BS. but if these studies are true then this would be convenient for us who alrdy drink 2+ gallons/day

just not sure of a cost effective way or if its worth it

I've a much less expensive idea, add some Tums to the water your drinking, lol!

It's BULLSHIT, pure and simple.

but if these studies are true

it

If these studies are TRUE then a hydro-percolator, may be a useful means of improving the acid-base disturbance in rats with acidosis due to hepatic disease.

What about the study results in "normal folk"?

What about them, they are normal and didn't NEED fixing!

Thus until an outcome study is conducted which confirms a "benefit" that could NOT be achieved thru natural physiologic processes for acid clearance, such as the liver, lung and kidneys, these devices are pure JUNK!

dr. you may be confusing hydrogen as acting solely as an alkalizing agent. but you do not acknowledge that it is also acting as a powerful anti-oxidant. it provides electrons to free radicals/ RoS MUCH the same way as silybum, the active ingredient in milk thistle, acts using its phenol structure or NAC, given to ODed patients from acetaminophen, which also has it effects by stabilizing all the radicals.

and us users already use milk thistle/NAC in our stacks. hydrogen water seems like a potentially more potent and available antioxidant used prophylactically

I'm confusing nothing with what your describing bc it's BULLSHIT!!!

The proof why don't you spend a little more time noting the effects of NAC on glutathione bc that's it's MOA
as an APAP antidote.

And with respect to milk shitsell try posting HUMAN studies on its efficacy as a PROPHYLACTIC hepatic agent.

Humans are NOT RATS and no where is this more evident than studies which compare the effects of "toxins" on human vs rat livers.

Incidentally there is ONE PROVEN means of limiting hepatic toxicity from AAS, removal of the offending agent!

In the case of AAS, limit exposure to oral agents to no more than six weeks.
