Drug test

I start reporting to probation next month and will have to pee in a cup every month for long time. Anyone know if probation drug tests screen for steroids?

I thought you said you are recently out of prison. So are you on probation or parole?

P.S. Grizzly is right, they dont test for steroids. They only test for random drugs from the 10 panel test. They randomly (or if you are on a marijuana charge, for example, they will always test for it) select drugs to test you for (they usually test for 1-3 different drugs, almost always marijuana, next most common is cocaine). They usually charge you a fee for every drug tested for per month. For a steroid charge, they might test you for steroids, I dont know. I have never dealt with a case of steroid possession.

Yeah I just got out of county but have to do 10 years probation. Not drug related though. Felony 2 charge for Theft with Computer over $100,000.

thats what I thought too only Weed, Coc, and Heroine. But I dont do those.

Goddamn! 10 years?!?! If probation around you is anything like it is around here, plan on spending a good 3 of those 10 years in and out of the county. Oh you were speeding, here's 30 days for you.

To get 10 years of probation, he must have stolen George Bush's virginity........

Either that or he was riding a unicycle with no seat over the speed bumps at the market.... Repeatedly......

lol, or he is young so the judge is giving him a hell of a second chance. Doesn't that faggot kobe bryant face probation for life as one of the sentencing options? Lakers should've traded that clown. He is gone after this year. oh yeah wtf did u steal on cpu. Did you hack peoples credit cards and shit over the internet? If so i wish they would've locked your ass up

Well he got out of county jail, so that means he didnt hack over state lines. It also shows that the judge was going easy (being as most major sentences are done in state prison). 10 years probation is very long and I have never heard of that. Shit, instead of 10 years probation, I would have plea bargained for a year back in county. 10 years probation is harsh and (statistically) you are going to break it. Also, being as you had theft with a computer over $100,000, I am surprised part of your probation wasnt that you werent allowed to touch a computer in that period of time (thus not being able to post here).

good point with the cpu and posting part. that is really common with probation for cpu crimes. Like i said earlier though, i believe kobe bryant faces probation for life if he doesnt get a jail sentence(and is found guilty obviously)

Bob Smith and I were talking about this thread last night and he sent me a link to a site where a guy in Texas got 60 days and 10 years probation because he nearly crippled another motorist as he was speeding away from a gas station where he had just stolen gasoline.

it seems as though the long probation means you really got a big time break. I would take 50 years probo over a week in jail. I am probably the only one here that would though

Yes, you are, because over those 50 years of probation, you'd be spending a month a year in the county, if they didn't just give you the full fledged 50 year stint in the pen for fucking up your probation. On top of that, 50 years of probation would cost you 25k or more.

I have never in my career heard of 10 years of probation.... Not even with the feds.....

a buddy of mine got 10 years probation back in '89 for threatening someone with a pellet pistol........

50 years probation doesn't equate to 50 year sentence. The sentence would probably be 5 years or less or probation wouldn't be an option but i agree with the month a year in county for little misdeeds. 10 years for a pellet gun? what a ripoff

As far as I know, probation does equal the time that you could have spent in the joint, or, atleast, the amount of time that they might give you if you fuck up.

For instance, that guy from Texas I mentioned was looking at 20 years, but got off with 10 years probation. If he fucks it up, he can damn well get those ten years.

ahhhhhh fuck, who cares...... Just go piss in the cup...... You knew the job was dangerous when you took it.... Okay, end of thread.......

what if you have Deca in your system from a year ago before you were ever even caught for the crime and put on probation?

Dang

I did not think I would get that kind of response. Sorry so late in posting 3 days later but I am too busy during weekends to log on.

I got 180 days in jail 10 years def. Adjud. probation for hacking into a finaical company and stealing $186,434 in cash over a 2 year period. And it was my first offense and I live in Texas. So the judge gave me two options take the conviction on my record and no jail but with probation or 6 months in jail w/10 yrs probation and no conviction.

I took the 6 months w/10yrs pro. and no conviction. But if I screw up excluding tickets I go straight to state jail for 6 months to 2 years. If the revoke my probation then I go to the pen for 10yrs and do at least 85% of the time.

So in other words I had a good lawyer and second chance.
