A lot of farming in the family. Was riding before I learned how to ride a bike.

As far as choking a horse out, a windpipe is a windpipe. I had to put down a doe years ago. Ran into my truck head on and was seizing in the road, smashing her head into the pavement. I don't carry and didn't have anything sharp. So all I could do was try to hold her head flailing and...yeah.

It doesn't take much pressure. :/

Maybe you should ratchet strap a bale of parsley on your grill guard? It will help to induce bloodshed since it was a female deer?

I didn't hit the deer, it ran head on into the drivers side. Right where the front clip meets the door.

It hit me.

Though 30 going into a residential area, I doubt it would have killed it either way.
