Egg Protein vs Whey Protein Powder?

Could you guys give me a little info on the differences. I found that the serving size with the whey protein was mostly 2 scoops for a serving but the egg is less than 1 scoop- the egg is much more expensive too, I was wondering which is better? I am not real concerned about taste, or flatulence or how much one makes your ass explode :D...just overall nutritional value and muscle building benefits. TY

I have used both and cannot really tell any difference except cost and that is a big factor for me.I also like the protiens to be long and short released/digested.Both give me gas.......

I personally hate egg protein as it is more $$$ and if it was the way it used to be many years ago, DOESN'T mix well. Think a big glass of chalk.... I don't know if things have improved since that time, but back when it was only egg and milk protein available, egg protein made me sick.

Bottom line: stick with whey: easy to mix, tastes great, and cheaper. From a protein standpoint, it's better all around.

Cheers

I have both here I was just wondering which was better. The Healthy n fit egg protein mixes well and the vanilla isnt all that bad...I mix it with water for less carbs...so it is tolerable. The egg protein is much more sticky though. But thanks for the imput

I use the Optimum egg protein in my morning shake, tastes fine to me. Price is comparable to whey protein for similar size containers.

The taste of the egg protein is OK as it's the flavouring that gives it taste, not really the protein itself. I just remember that it was really hard to get it to mix, even with a blender. But hey, that was a long time ago.

Are you sure the price is comparable? I've had a quick look online and they all appear to be considerably more than whey protein, aside from isolates which are definitely more $$$.

I guess it's personal preference. Drink what tastes best :)

Cheers
