Egg whites: cook or drink?

So I'm brand new to the forum and wanted to see everyone's opinions on egg whites. With the volume of food I eat every day to gain weight (suffering from high metabolism lol) I find it much easier to drink my egg whites to get a volume of protein in my diet. However, I was wondering if my body is still able to process the protein the same in terms of bioavailability. Would I get more out of cooking them?

I can tell you this much.
I started drinking 2 or 3 small containers a day for the same reason and by the end of the week I was so bound up I couldn't even eat anything.
I'm talking pure misery sitting on toilet pulling on your knees staining so hard your seeing stars.
So yeah....there's that.
I'm sure someone else will have a more informed answer but that's what happened to me.

Why not whole eggs? Whats the point of eating egg whites? They taste like nothing, or nothing good and you pay more for less of the egg. Youre taking away the best part of it..

Only reason I do is when I'm cutting and my fats are super low I use a ton of egg whites and it just makes shakes taste better IMO

Fitting it into your macros makes sense..not my thing though. Never cut on low fat to be honest. Havent had a shake in awhile but always used to look forward to them. Eggs made the shake 10x better..thick and more filling.

I ordered 2 gallons of muscle egg one time. Its flavor was chocolate caramel i think. I was skeptical at first but i drank a glass and it tasted like chocolate milk. Sooo easy to drink that stuff. Even got the wife to drink some.

I do whole eggs. I usually eat on average a dozen a day, hard boiled. Not too fond of pure egg whites.

No shit (pun not particularly intended)?!

I drink 2 cartons a day, the Costco ones, and have for quite some time now. I mix them with almond milk and Hershey's syrup...! Never had an issue. I wonder why these did that to you?

This is essentially the same problem I was having. Was wondering if my body was even absorbing them at all because it felt like they were just going straight through me. Might just cook them from now on.

Drinking egg whites why not I say. Who is to say being cooked causes better protein absorption. In my mind which of course is a science lab I ma thinking the egg whites alone slide right through me cooked and there are theories out there about raw eating. IDK I like the idea. I would probably lean towards throwing a whole egg or two in the shake and the whites...... I have to have some yolk.

Raw egg whites out of the shell have a lower digestibility and absorption percentage than cooked eggs, about 65% digestible. Processed liquid egg whites likely improve on that from the homogenization and any heating they undergo.

They just don't digest right for me without a couple yokes in there.
Gas indigestion and lack of appetite among other things.
4 egg whites with 2 whole eggs is about my limit.
