I guess he is aiming for "Bush like" status in the world. I do believe whether or not he wins the upcoming election, Bush will go down in history for the most hated president in history both by Americans and the rest of the world. The other night I saw on the news, protestors for both sides get violent, I saw a Bush supporter cross the street and attack a Kerry supporter only to get knocked out by one punch, it made me laugh as I thought of all you guys on these boards always calling liberals pussies,,

Maybe so, but I'd bet a dollar to your dime that in 50 years he will be regarded as one of the greatest presidents we have ever had. What he is doing now is not going well.....but the ends justify the means. The true test will come when we are old, old men.

Kayz... once again I totally agree. being that we are all bodybuilders and we know that pain equals gain. A little pain in the Middle East now is going to yield huge gains in the future. Once these people get TV's, coca-cola and swimming pools in their back yards. They will forget all about that stupid Allah crap.

Next to Reagan, I think Bush is the best president we have had in my life time.

Usually a President has to accomplish positive things to be remembered in a positive light. You are saying that Bush's premature invasion of Iraq which he based on a now completely disproven claim is going to be remembered as a great acheivement?

Since Bush was wrong on his original claim and the war is quickly becoming a monumental quagmire, he shifts his reasoning for going to war completely and people like you gobble it up. I'm still wondering what the hell I'm going to tell my grandchildren in 50 years when they ask why we invaded in the first place.

Is there anything that Bush hasn't managed to completely bungle?

I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when I read posts like this. I'm a right-leaning independent and it just amazes me how far people will reach to justify the stupidity of this President's actions.

On a side note, I hate Eminem.....always have, always will.

i am and was a huge reagan fan. but bush is nothing like him. reagan got this country to stand proud and have a huge rush of morale. bush has crushed morale and divided this country in two.

like i said in earlier posts i think mccain would be awesome for the US. hopefully kerry wins this election and then 4 years from now if kerry isnt up to par mccain will run against him.

How old are you 4? lol,, Really though, that has to be a joke, even hardcore conservatives admit Bush has many faults, but they claim Kerry has more, but to say he is the best? That truly is a punch in the gut to America.

Tuesday morning I will be voting for Bush, atleast you know where Bush stands. Kerry dosnt even know where he stands, Bush may like war but atleast he's fight these that want to see Americans dead!! I would rather see Bush get relected and see who will run in 4 more years I fear that we will see HIlary Clinton for the demorates in 4 years if Bush wins, wow that would suck!!

This is just a difference of opinion people like you and myself have and always will have. I view the war in Iraq and the war on terror as one in the same.

My previous post is my opinion...you are free to disagree with me all you want...but again, why am I wrong and why are you right??? What makes my opinion less significant than yours???

I siad what I said because I think that ultimately Bush's actions will lead to a more stable world. Sure, right now things are not going well, but what was the alternative....do nothing??? We tried that for 8 years under Clinton...and where did it land us?? 9/11. The 9/11 commission has shown that 9/11 had been planned since 1995/96, on clintons' watch. Clinton did nothing when the Cole was bombed in a Yemen port.Clinton did nothing after the first WTC bombing! Clinton did nothing when teh embassies in Kenya were blown up. And finally, Clinton did nothing in Somalia (i.e.: Black Hawk Down). IN fact, Clitnon pulled out of Somalia....and Bin Laden called Clinton and his administration "paper tigers".

So, I think bush will be regarded as a good president and will be credited with combating terror and ultimately defeating those of us who wish to kill you and me.

if u fear hillary's election than the smart thing to do would be to vote for kerry. if bush wins he is out in 4 years and hillary will be the top spot for the dems. if kerry wins he will run as an incumbent and if he does well hillary wont be able to challange him. i really do not want to see hillary as president personally, but only time will tell.

Kayz im so glad to you have said this bc i have to laugh every time people say that there was no point in us going to war. especially people who think that clinton actually did something in office regarding terrorism.

i mean who the hell signs a peace treaty with terrorists and expects them not to do it again? give me a break!

IMO, neither this country nor the world is ready for a female President. And I am not saying that to demoralize females, but it is a reality.

Think about this: over 50% of the worlds population lives in countries in which females are viewed as second rate citizens. Females are expected to be subordinate to men, so much so that in many cultures women are not allowed to show skin in public and they have to walk behind their husband. They are not allowed to learn how to read or write. They are regularly beaten for things we considered "normal" in our culture. And, in many countries women are still not allowed to vote.

My point is this: how can a female president go to China, N. Korea, Iran, Pakistan, etc. and negotiate with world leaders who view her as the equivalent of a dog. Do you think any of these dictators are going to take orders from an American woman??? Probably not.

I know Billary has huge ambitions to be the first woman president, but I don't see it happening..ever!!! Hell, her husband put her in charge of health care and he had to fire her because she fucked it up.

If Kerry wins, it will be McCain or Giulani in '08. If bush wins, it will be McCain or Giulani in '08.

What has our pain gotten us though? Terrorism has increased under Bush (globally), America has less friends in the world, and our economy has slowed down. (Granted the economy is not ever squarely on the shoulders of the president) Bush has alienated the world for "freedom". However, this is not how the Iraqi's see it. They are less safe now than they were under Hussein, it is sad but true. They're, and will be, missing key elements such as power for hours a day; and this is projected to go on until the end of the decade. More people absolutely hate the U.S. so theoretically we are not safe. National Guardsmen with families and lives are being pulled into an underfunded and undermanned war.

WHY?!

Because our intelligence, which was shaky at best gave Bush iron clad determination to invade Iraq. There is even evidence that he had the agenda to invade Iraq from the moment he stepped in office(from his former pupils books). His family has bin laden ties, and his veep has halliburton ties, who was caught price guaging the government to the tune of 100 dollars a tooth brush...why vote for Bush?

He has his faults sure, but he also is driven and wants to enact change (in taxes, social security, tort reform). BTW, I am 35. Let's stack the Presidents I have lived through... Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Bush 1, Clinton, Bush 2.

Next to Reagan I see Bush 2 as the best of the rest, He did more in his first 100 days than Clinton did in 8 years (tax cuts, education etc..). Clinton was a pollwatching do-nothing, Carter sucked ass. Bush 1 was OK, but he seemed to have a diconnect with the people. Ford and Nixon... who knows... I was a baby.
