You said you live in NYC, so people will assume you meant US military. Secondly, the word "deployment" is a popular word in the US military, and means something entirely different than what you're talking about. Where does the Israeli Army deploy too? Down the street? Not to be dismissive of whatever it is that Israeli defense forces do, but it's hard to make a comparison between the massive scale US military deployments (which people think about when hearing the word "deployments") and some Israeli military service.
If you're an Israeli citizen living and working in NYC in the finance sector, it's safe to say it's due to nepotism. Nothing wrong with nepotism. I can't blame anyone for taking advantage of opportunities given to them, however, if you talk like you talk in the real world outside of your bubble, you're going to get clowned. It comes across as arrogant, out of touch, and makes you look ridiculous. At 29 years, you have a lot to learn. You should be thanking us for any criticism you receive here. Better to learn now than later.
