so ,i just shot the glute for the first time today.. i was shooting the delts before... it was first off real hard to puncture the skin.. and when i did and took the needle out i started to bleed alot compared to the delts... is this normal?

Probably hit a vein, that's why I don't hit the glutes anynmore. Had one to many gushers. Not a big deal.

glutes, I dont know man I have never had that happen did you asperate.

It can happen,,,BTW did you use the same needle twice???A blunt needle will cause more bleeding then a sharp one,,,I don't recommend using a needle twice ever(sterility issues),,,but I know people do it,,,VDC

Sounds like you used the needle twice...once to pull out and the second to inject...perhaps you didn't though...may just have some thick skin? I have never gushed blood from glutes and I always hit them...I always asperate too....some blood always comes out however each time I hit a glute, but it doesn't gush out...and it isn;t a lot. I just have to sit there for a sec rubbing the inject site with an alcohol pad for a few minutes til it clots up and stops bleeding...It is hard to do , but if you move the skin over at the inject site, inject and let the skin move back over the site after yoiu remove the needle, it should help out...but it is hard to do on yourself when hitting a glute...

no, this needle wasnt use twice.. it punctured the skin but then was hard i guess to get passed the muscle i stood a specific way so my ass wouldnt flex.. anyways i made sure to asperate.. i had a friend do it btw, hes shot everywhere except the glute.. i mean it wasnt horrific amount of blood , it actually stopped pretty quick it.. was just more then normal.. also the delts can be annoying although it doesnt hurt that bad.. its annoying to sleep at night.. with the glute i notice i am not 1 bit sore and very easy to sleep.

My GF is a RN, I asked her why I bleed from a Glute shot and not usually from a quad shot. All she could tell me is that people usually bleed from a Glute shot.

I haven't shot Delts so I have nothing to compare.
