test E was melted pre-homebrew, pip sucks

So i made some 250mg/ml test E a few months ago that had little to no problems. That ran out and had to brew again, except this time, the raw test E was melted due to it being summer. I remember reading a forum on here or somewhere, someone was saying that if your raw powder is melted, then it will have painful pip. I can't find the thread but he was speaking about Test E specifically. I never really understood why that would be, since it's getting melted down regardless in the brewing stage.. I wonder if that's what's happened though, because the pip sucks man, i'm kinda limping with this.. but it's the same recipe as before. Should I try to brew a new batch out of this melted raw or is it a lost cause?

What recipe did you use? And how melted are we talking. I've gotten raws that you can tell have been melted and really clump up in those big waxy like blobs. That's the worst I've ever had it and it can get up to 95 or so here. No problems with that though PIP wise. From a logical standpoint I dont really see how it could make much of a difference, like you said. Possible you got BA/BB mixed up? Just an example for some kind of error that might have slipped through. Good luck I hope someone with some knowledge on this specific subject helps you

I know man I had that same thought, but I specifically remember double checking as I was measuring it all out. It was all waxy and clumpy lol it got over 85 here for a while. The only difference between this brew and last was that I used the tedious caulk gun method first time and now used a bottle top filter, .22um. The recipe was 2%BA 10%BB and GSO... hell, wonder if the GSO can go bad lol idk man

I believe I read somewhere that grapeseed oil has a shelf life of 6months-1year and I read on one other site, 3month-6months. I have some mast prop brewed in grapeseed that is at least 1.5 years old and it looks perfectly normal. That's not exactly long term results but possibly helpful anectdotal info... I dont think the tedious caulk gun method could make any other difference, despite if it's possible the membrane failed during one of the filters. Slightly contaminated gear could cause some pip obviously.. I just always find when I would have a problem it was almost always something I've overlooked. Curious if you figure anything out.

Okay so now I do remember that I think I kind of overheated the oil like there was kind of steam coming off of it, I know that I got it hotter than I needed. it didn't reach a smoking point or anyting but I think maybe that could have contributed. I'm prepping to rebrew with that same batch of raw again perhaps this weekend and so I guess we'll see if there's crazy pip from that

Test E @ 250 mg/ml usually needs no BB to dissolve (warm it up to speed dissolution)
and you can lower BA to 1%.

I don't think warm melting temps
degrade the Test E molecule
The only thing I can think of is that it might become TNE + enanthic acid, but I doubt that it happening.

Allow your gear to sit for a few days with occasional stirring before injecting, so microcrystals get fully dissolved.
