Extreme Dieting/Cutting With Test Enanthate

Hypothetical question, not sure if this is for me yet: what would be the benefits of going for two weeks on a hardcore diet of literally nothing but chicken/tuna/salad at about 1500 calories a day while on a cycle of test? (I was discussing this kind of hardcore dieting with a guy that competes, he said it works for him)...any thoughts? thanks

First of all, the only test that you will benefit from in two weeks is Suspension, possibly propionate, and either would have to be at high doses. This type of diet is typically done for more than two weeks, too. You won't see anything other than some water loss and maybe a lb. or two of fat (depends on your body composition).

Regarding your friend that competes, what BF% does he carry before he starts this type of diet? A person carrying 8% can diet for two weeks and drop to 6% or less. If your genetics are not as good as his, you won't get as much out of it.

First of all, your friend who competes has to be pulling your leg about his diet...either that, or he competes as a batamweight...reguardless, eating a moderate amount of calories, then just dropping to 1500, doesn't sound too smart to me. Trust me, I tried something similar about 2 years ago getting ready for one of the local shows...I cut my calories from 3100 to 14-1500 and I got sick as hell within a week. Just my opinion though.

I think i know were your friend is coming from i compete also, but his strategy is actually better for a mass /muscle gain cycle.I know this may sound odd but the idea has been around for a long time. The idea behind it is to diet extremely for about 2 weeks this cause the upregulation of the enzymes necessary for growth You do this for 14 days and then you all of a sudden hit the calories and macronutrients hard and thats when you add the gear and you will repartition nutrients from fat to preferably muscle cells this effect lasts for about 2-4 weeks when just doing it naturally but since you are on gear you could probably run it longer.

thanks for the help guys. My thought was to first get ON a test cycle and let it kick in after a couple weeks, only dropping calories gradually as the test kicks in. I would drop down to about 1500 or so for maybe longer than 2-3 weeks, depending on how well the test maintained my muscle mass. The goal was quick cutting, but if you feel this method would actually SABATOGE successful cutting then lemme know! Thanks again

You basically hit on what I was going to mention. Be on the test for a good 2-4 weeks before trying that diet. Or switch to a short ester test like prop. The AAS will help spare muscle loss while on such low calories. You could do a similar approach, but add in a 24 hour high-carb refeed at day 7 to help out. Your workouts will likely suffer some as youll probably be short on energy, but that shouldnt be a huge deal.

I say give it a try with the refeed and see for yourself how it works. You wont know for sure till you do. Oh, I would also add in some fat. Keep the 1500 calories but make sure to get at least 6 fish oil/omega 3 capsules per day along with another 1-2 tablespoons of DAG oil. You could use another oil besides DAG, but likely not with quite the same results.
