Facial hair

Are there any compounds that block the hair receptor that's causing dark facial hair growth? I never had this problem...it started after I ran a long cycle of test prop and primo but seemed to fade away after I stopped. Now my doctor has me on a total of 35 mg testosterone creme HRT per week and it's helped a lot with my mood, sleep and libido; however the dark facial hair is growing like mad! I have an electrolysis session next Monday but she can only remove a little in those 30 minutes.

I'm going to take less of the creme, say 17.5 mg/week, but what else can I do? How could this be happening if my total testosterone level is only 6 ng/dL (normal is 8-48 ng/dL)?

Thank you.

Some women are just suseptible to facial hair. You could play around with compounds like spironolactone and see if it helps, but honestly, I'd just get laser treatment and be done with it.

Spironolactone would be a good one to try. Facial hair is also common in women with PCOS as well as hirsutism. Spironolactone seems to be the first drug prescribed for it and it's supposed to help with as little of a dose as 25mg a day.

Are you on any birth control as well?

@GearGodess Thanks for the info on spironolactone. I hate to admit it but I've over reacted a bit  it's just I'm not used to seeing black hair on my neck. Makeup covers it nicely and I'll have them electrolyzed. No birth control - no need for it as my body is "shutdown" and my doctor has me on HRT.

Those creams gels are waste of time. My wife used them for awhile. They never moved t up very much. Go with pellets every 3 months if you don't wana mess with weekly shots long term Where was your t on the t prop cycle ?
