Fasting

How long after last bite of food or drink besides water would you be considered fasted? How many hours?
There are 5 stages of fasting.
Stage 1 starts about 8 hours after you eat when your blood glucose starts to drop.
Stage 2 is between 12-18 hours after your last meal when you enter Ketosis,
you are usually in full ketosis around 16-18 hours after your last meal.
Stage 3 is 24 hours after your last meal when your body enters an Autophagy and Anti aging state where you start to recycle old and damaged cells and reduce inflammation through out the body.
Stage 4 is 36-48 hours after your last meal and is when your body starts to secrete a lot more HGH and heals much quicker.
Stage 5 is 72+Hours after your last meal and is when your body starts to trigger stem cell production any your immune system starts to create new cells to replace old cells.
This is why there is a lot of belief that fasting extends life expectancy.
