Hey don't drag BFM in to this :p

This is some odd drug.
What's she taking this for?
I asked Grok :) it said:

Tropisetron is a selective serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist primarily used as an antiemetic to prevent and treat nausea and vomiting. In the context of a female bodybuilder using anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS)—whether milder ones like Anavar (oxandrolone) or more potent ones like Trenbolone or Anadrol—these compounds can trigger gastrointestinal side effects, including nausea, due to factors like direct stomach irritation (especially from oral steroids), hormonal fluctuations, or liver stress from higher doses.

Why Nausea Occurs with Steroid Use

  • Oral steroids: Compounds like Dianabol, Anadrol, or Winstrol are hepatotoxic and can inflame the stomach lining, leading to queasiness shortly after dosing.
  • Injectable or potent AAS: Even milder or more powerful steroids (e.g., Testosterone or Trenbolone) may disrupt gut motility, electrolyte balance, or serotonin signaling, exacerbating nausea—particularly in women, who may be more sensitive due to differences in metabolism or lower baseline androgen levels.
  • Cycle factors: Stacking multiple steroids, high doses, or combining with other performance enhancers (e.g., fat burners like Clenbuterol) amplifies these effects, making it harder to maintain caloric intake for muscle growth.
Bodybuilders often prioritize antiemetics to stay on track with bulking/cutting diets, as uncontrolled nausea can derail nutrition and training.

Why Tropisetron Specifically?

  • It's highly effective for drug-induced emesis, blocking serotonin release in the gut and brain's chemoreceptor trigger zone—ideal for steroid-related issues without the sedation of alternatives like antihistamines.
  • Compared to similar 5-HT3 antagonists (e.g., Ondansetron/Zofran), Tropisetron has a longer half-life (up to 6–30 hours, depending on genetics) and dual action as a partial agonist at nicotinic alpha-7 receptors, which some users report adds subtle cognitive/mood benefits (e.g., reduced anxiety from steroid "roid rage").
  • Availability and dosing: Typically 5 mg orally or IV daily; it's less common in Western markets but accessible in Europe/Asia, and some bodybuilders source it via research chemical vendors for cycle support.
  • Female considerations: Women on AAS may experience amplified GI sensitivity from estrogen fluctuations, and Tropisetron's clean profile (low sedation, no major hormonal interference) makes it suitable without worsening virilization risks."
Whether any of that is bullshit or not, idk

What's she taking this for?
She has terrible, daily GI issues. Unmedicated she gets nausea so bad it prevents her from training or eating.

She has RX Ondansetron, but I like to try new Nootropics and recently Tropisetron has popped up.

I didn't even know it was an anti emetic originally. But she takes it as an alternative to Ondansetron with nootropic properties
